Also, it doesnt seem to have ANY effect on the dog. I've got two of them and they dont appear to work. I'm not sure if that is supposed to be a deterrent or not. However, the ultrasonic part doesnt seem to have any effect on dogs, at least in my experience. It worked very well. I looked long and hard for this replacement because I didn't want one that had a sole focus on barking issues. This one works exactly as advertised. It has a flashlight mode training mode and deturant mode for use against aggressive or unleashed animals that you do not want to interact with you dog. I have 3 stubborn pups that I have struggled with the basic come command. They know it they just don't. I call, I clap my hands to get their attention the buggers just ignore me half the time. I beeped the trainer mode once to get their attention then beeped it twice and gave the command. They instantly got up and came to me.
