Ner Mitzvah Nickel Oil Wall Menorah with Glass Walls - Fits Standard Chanukah Oil Cups and Large Candles - Ancient Jerusalem Design

I ordered and received this elegant, beautiful, large silver metal and glass Hanukkah menorah. It is difficult to describe this unique menorah. It is very detailed with intricate relief of Jerusalem city scapes in silver, with accents in gold. It has 4 glass panels, with the front panel that slides up and is removable, the other 3 panels are fixed and not removable. The front panel has a half-oval portion that has been cut out & removed for air flow or lighting or other reasons, the edges have been sanded so you won’t cut yourself handling it. The 9 cups are affixed in a row with the shamash slightly higher and centered in front. Included are 9 aluminum silver liner cups for each candle. You can use candles or glass oil cups that you supply. I ordered cut glass straight cups #12 size for this menorah because it is so fancy I thought these would compliment the overall look. I added several layers of silicone spacers on the glass cup stems to help keep the cups steady in the liners. It is not an exact fit, but it is an improvement. I also added the brass wick holders & wicks so it’s ready to be filled with oil and lit. The menorah comes with a silver removable lid that sits atop the glass like a perch. There is a glass mirrored bottom under the 9 cups to reflect light. Everything is covered in highly polished and reflective silver, so I expect it to be dazzling when lit. Unfortunately, my oil did not arrive in time for me to actually use this menorah with oil for this Hanukkah, so I cannot review that aspect. I would expect that using disposable oil cups would make it easier & less to clean up too. This is a large elegant Hanukkah menorah that has become a centerpiece in our family’s Judaica, I expect it to last for generations. It came securely and snugly wrapped and boxed up. I very carefully unwrapped each part and put the glass panel and top on it. I’m not sure if they used tempered glass or not, but I expect that to be the most fragile component. I’m very satisfied by this menorah, glad we purchased it and would give this as a wedding present without reservation!

More beautiful that the photo can do justice. Looks to be well made. We did not get to use it this year as it was not available during Chanukka but it is so pretty, I have left it out on display.

I was hesitant to buy this as there were not many reviews, but I have bought items from Ner Mitzvah before and know their quality is generally pretty good.I was BLOWN AWAY. This Menorah is absolutely gorgeous. Now that Chanukkah is over, I actually have this as a display piece in my china cabinet, it's that beautiful. The silver with the etchings was beautiful.As far as ease of use went, it was startlingly easy. I was even able to light it without removing the glass piece, just by removing the overhead part, and then replacing it afterwards. The menorah stayed lit for several hours even in strong winds.I did add my own cups instead of using the included ones.
