This is exactly what I needed.
Surprisingly comfortable and easy. After two days I forgot I was wearing this. Now I wonder why I need surgery at all - till I take it off. Very easy to adjust and you really only have to adjust it once and it stays.Pros: Sturdy elastic waistband with large velcro fastener. Removeable and adjustable velcro pads are the right shape. Leg straps help keep it positioned correctly. No rough biting or rubbing edges - just be sure the velcro pad does not protrude below the support panel. Washable and air dry.Tips: If you are on the large edge of the size suggestions definitely go with the next larger size. I'm a 34 but medium fits great.I have an office job and do not do a lot of bending during the day. If you have a very active day that involves a lot of bending over to the floor or standing and kneeling repeatedly you will need to adjust the leg straps to avoid it slipping higher on your waist. That said, on days when I am active I appreciate it's slim design compared to other "girdle" type designs that would be really inhibiting. If it does slip higher out of position it is really uncomfortable so go fix it.Cons: The velcro waist band is quite loud when you pull it off, so go slow and careful if you have to use a bathroom in someone's quiet home. Going #1 is no worry with this design - you can leave it on. You could probably get away with a #2 in a pinch but not sure why you'd need to. The leg straps are held with small metal buckles that work fine but there's no place for the extra end of strap that you pull through so I just loop it down under the waistband. This and the buckles could cause small bulges in your pants if you wear really snug flat front slacks. You never notice them in jeans or pleated slacks.TSA warning - You can imagine what the "Pat Down Police" will think you're pack'n if you try to go through security in one of these. I'd plan to put it in a carry-on and put it on later to avoid any nonsense. On the other hand, you could just explain really loudly that you have a hernia and are wearing a truss and you'd be happy to drop your pants and show them! Depends on your mood I guess.

Inexpensive and effective
This is an inexpensive hernia support belt. It works alright. But it is not built to last. I bought 2 of these. The 1st one is starting to tear apart at the stress points after a couple of months of occasional use.

Practical design, inexpensive, effective
I have a 'failed' right inguinal hernia. I've procrastinated for 8 years about getting it redone, and I've been wearing trusses ever since. I've tried several brands/styles. The AlphaBrace has been the most satisfactory - and the least expensive. Mine last about two years each before I start thinking I should get a new one.I have a 33" waist and 37" hips (measured at the height I would wear the hernia belt), and the Medium size works fine. But I cut off the 2-1/2 inches of the belt that extends past the Velcro in order to minimize the external bulge it would create in my pants. Then I put three large staples across the cut end to keep it from fraying. Works fine. I also cut off the left strap, flush with the belt, and so convert my trusses to right-only. That works just fine and creates much less constriction of my family jewels and makes it easier to use my fly. Incidentally, I always wear the truss outside of my boxer briefs, which keeps the belt and strap much cleaner and avoids chafing of the skin. I recommend hand-washing, as the Velcro can catch on and snag other items in a washer or dryer. If the Velcro-backed pad extends below the designated area of the belt, as mine did (the pads were a bit too large), you can trim it with scissors without compromising its function; you don't want the Velcro to scrape your skin or catch on your clothes. What's great about this product is that it can be worn in the shower or when swimming without worry. The pad is not absorbant of moisture, and the belt and strap are cloth and vinyl. I do find that the metal buckle doesn't securely hold the leg strap. I remove the buckle (without cutting the cloth loop) and simply thread the strap through the loop and tie it securely (double knot). That should eliminate TSA concerns, but it means you have to step in and out of the strap loop. You can always untie and readjust the strap, which tends to stretch/lengthen over time.If I don't wear a truss, my hernia will 'pop' usually just from walking. Wearing the truss allows me to lift heavy boxes, run/sprint, do 300-lb leg presses and squats, and live a normal, active life. But if I cough or sneeze, I usually need to momentarily press on my groin at the same time to avoid it popping past the pad. And if it does pop, the sooner I take measures to 'reduce' it, the easier it is. Otherwise, I find myself lying on the ground in public with my feet propped on a bench and my ass in the air appearing to be playing with myself.

Great Buy and Device
I have a small, right inguinal hernia. It doesn't really bother me, but I decided to get a truss to use in times of heaving lifting, etc. I researched many hernia aids on Amazon and found this item was nicely rated, easy to use, & nicely priced. I have 34" waist and hips at 38.5". I ordered a medium, which fits hips up to 41". It fits me fine. I wear it under my underwear, which makes it easier to urinate for a male. I have worn it on top of my boxer briefs when I know I will not be away from home very long in case in need to uriniate as that style of wearing requires one to take off the hernia belt, etc. This item is USA made well, very washable, and should last a while. I find it very comfortable under may pants with no great bulge on the clothing waist line.

Holds well as long as you never bend at waist.
I was hopeful, but ended up being disappointed. I like how you can adjust it to match your body, and it holds you in very well.....until you bend over from the waist, then it rides up and starts pushing in just above the hernias which causes the hernias to bulge out even worse. There isn't any way to discreetly adjust it back in place afterward. Fine for home use if you don't bend over much.

99 but is well worth the extra cost as it is much better quality but I could not find it here on ...
This product is poorly made. The groin strap started fraying almost immediately, and had to be cut clean and some crazy glue applied to hold the strands together. I have another strap I bought at a local drug store that looks the same but has Velcro instead of a cheap buckle. It cost 74.99 but is well worth the extra cost as it is much better quality but I could not find it here on Amazon. My advice? Spend the extra money on a better quality unit.
