I’ve developed neuropathy and other foot issues, and I wanted something easier on my feet without having to switch to a shoe that looks like a typical athletic shoe. For comparison, I normally wear a size 14 extra-wide in Timberland PRO shoes. The extra room in these has been especially comfortable for my feet without making the shoes feel sloppy or oversized. They are extremely lightweight, comfortable, and roomy. They look nice enough to pass as a casual business shoe, but they have much more of the lightweight comfort I was looking for. The quality has also been very good, and so far I haven’t even needed to polish them. For years I wore Timberland PRO leather lace-up shoes, and I still think they’re some of the best and most durable shoes I’ve ever owned. I’ve kept mine and hope to find a good custom or specialty insole that will make them more comfortable for me again. If you need a really durable traditional work shoe and don’t have the foot issues I’m dealing with, I still highly recommend Timberland PRO. But for what I need now, these have been a great choice. They’re lighter, roomier, and much more comfortable for my feet while still looking presentable enough that I don’t feel like I’m wearing tennis shoes everywhere. I’m very happy with my purchase.

**Q: Based on the design of the sole, it looks like these shoes would not be good on slick/wet surfaces. Anyone had problems with slipping?**
A: Only had the show for about two weeks. Had some rain and was riding buses with what I would consider a slippery surface. I did not notice any problem with slipping. Very pleased with the shoes appearance, fit and performance. In short, no slipping noticed!

The Leather 928v3s have leather uppers; however, other versions like the 928v3s in white have a synthetic/mesh upper.

**Q: ? cleaning the new balance men's mens 928v3 walking shoe. what is the best way to clean these shoes. the webbed top is very dark now.**
A: I know, I hate that!  I use a tooth brush with blue Dawn soap, then put them in the washing machine.  I will never but another webbed shoe.

**Q: v2 vs v3 differnces?**
A: Main difference is they made a bigger toe box standard in the V3.  Went back to the V1 design.  It is the reason I bought the V3.  Also Amazon had the size I wanted - T2 width.   I was wearing the V2 design.
