Lightweight, Roomy and Comfortable Without Looking Too Casual
I purchased these because I was looking for a lightweight, comfortable shoe with a little more breathing room. Iโve developed neuropathy and other foot issues, and I wanted something easier on my feet without having to switch to a shoe that looks like a typical athletic shoe. I wanted something I could wear casually or in a business-casual setting, and these fit that need very well. I purchased the size 15 3E, and the fit has worked very well for me. For comparison, I normally wear a size 14 extra-wide in Timberland PRO shoes. The extra room in these has been especially comfortable for my feet without making the shoes feel sloppy or oversized. They are extremely lightweight, comfortable, and roomy. They look nice enough to pass as a casual business shoe, but they have much more of the lightweight comfort I was looking for. The quality has also been very good, and so far I havenโt even needed to polish them. For years I wore Timberland PRO leather lace-up shoes, and I still think theyโre some of the best and most durable shoes Iโve ever owned. Iโve kept mine and hope to find a good custom or specialty insole that will make them more comfortable for me again. If you need a really durable traditional work shoe and donโt have the foot issues Iโm dealing with, I still highly recommend Timberland PRO. But for what I need now, these have been a great choice. Theyโre lighter, roomier, and much more comfortable for my feet while still looking presentable enough that I donโt feel like Iโm wearing tennis shoes everywhere. Iโm very happy with my purchase.

Very Comfortable Shoes for Older Adults
The package arrived torn, so I was a little worried at first. Thankfully, the shoes were in excellent condition and looked brand new. One thing I noticed was that each shoe had an extra insole on top of the original one. It wasnโt until I removed the extra insole that I could see the New Balance branding on the original insole. There were also a few tiny white fibers or marks inside the shoes that looked like they came from the manufacturing or cutting process. It wasnโt a big deal, so I didnโt consider it a problem. I bought these shoes for my father, and he absolutely loves them. He says theyโre very comfortable and provide great support. I would definitely recommend these shoes, especially for older adults looking for a comfortable everyday shoe.

Reliable Walkers for Road Warrior Feet
I grabbed the New Balance Men's 928 V3 Lace-Up Walking Shoes because my previous pair fell apart after too many airport treks and Florida heat hikesโliving here and traveling constantly for work meant I needed solid support for swollen feet after flights. Expectations were straightforward: good cushioning and stability without breaking the bank, hopefully lasting longer than six months. Over the past week, I've logged miles in themโpounding pavement for 5 miles daily around my neighborhood in humid 80-degree weather, plus standing through 8-hour travel days with layovers. The ABZORB cushioning absorbs impacts nicely on concrete, and the Rollbar system keeps my rearfoot steady, reducing that usual post-flight ache. Leather upper breathes okay but gets warm in direct sun; laces secure well, no slippage. Odor-resistant lining helps after sweaty sessionsโno funk yet. At their price, they're worth it for the build quality and features like the removable footbed for custom insoles. They outlast cheaper walkers I've owned, though not indestructible for heavy use. Drawback: sole feels a tad stiff at first, forcing a slight gait adjustment before breaking in. Overall, they exceeded on support and comfort for my routine, beating expectations for travel durability. The stability shines for uneven airport floors, but wish the toe box wasn't quite so roomy. Pros: Excellent ABZORB cushioning for all-day walking. Rollbar stability prevents overpronation on long hauls. Durable leather holds up through washes and wear. Removable footbed fits orthotics easily. Cons: Stiff sole needs break-in time. Wide toe box loose for narrow feet. Runs warm in hot climates initially.

Walking shoe performs well
These are very good walking shoes. They fit as expected, and they support my feet well. The technology allows my foot to roll from heel to toe as I walk, which makes it comfortable to walk greater distances. My only issue with the shoe is its appearance. I bought the black model, which is entirely black. My wife says it looks like I am wearing work boots. These really don't look very much like athletic shoes, but they perform admirably, and overall, I'm happy with them.

Great Walking Shoe
I bought these shoes because the upper is all leather, I am starting a walking program and needed a good walking shoe, they fit my feet perfectly, they are comfortable, and they feel extremely stable with their rollbar system. They are expensive but I feel the value for the money spent makes them worth the investment. One thing I noticed is that they are a lot more comfortable when not laced all the way up through the top hole of the shoe. I laced up to the next to the top hole giving my foot more room to flex inside the shoe. When I laced all the way up through the top hole, the tongue of the shoe would dig into the top of my foot since the lacing would press the tongue of the shoe into the top of my foot.

Podiatrist-recommended, made in the USA, comfortable
Before we retired, I developed a nice little case of Plantar Fasciitis. While seeing a podiatrist about it, he recommended I stop wearing the crappy walking shoes I had and get some that would help with my arch support and pronation of the heals. Either that or give him a few hundred bucks for some custom orthotics. He said I should look into the higher-end series of shoes (like 900 or above) from New Balance. I went to a New Balance store, found the 928 Walking Shoes and have been wearing one version or another of them for 10 years now. I like the way they look, they are comfortable and my Plantar Fasciitis, after some physical therapy, has not returned. Plus, while not all New Balance shoes are made in the US, these models are. Since my feet haven't changed size, I find myself getting them through Amazon as the nearest New Balance store is now over an hour from where I live and the local chain stores sell only the lower end (400, 500 & 600) series of New Balance shoes. I recommend them and if you have a podiatrist, they probably do as well.

Expect some breaking in time on these.
The soles are quite stiff, producing a strange feeling on first wearing. The stiff soles produce a rocking effect when I walk. I assume this is supposed to improve the walking experience somehow. I decided to give them a chance and time to break in. They did feel better after a few days and I no longer notice the stiffness. However, they do not feel special in any way. I have had many pairs of New Balance shoes over the years. These are definitely not the most comfortable.

Worst Shoes
The worst shoes I have bought in my last 50 years. Extremely uncomfortable and heavy. Wonder how people can even advertise and buy shoes of this quality. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN !!
