This is a great book for intemediate to advance level

This is a classic book for serious, aspiring trumpet students.
This is fantastic, standard literature that all trumpet students should have in their library. You can come back to it at any time in your development and benefit from it.

My grandsons instructor uses this book. It is very good.

Fine Book of Contemporary Etudes
Good set of 32 etudes from low intermediary to low advanced (and with increasing difficulty). Unlike most of the older etude books, these have an interesting musical/lyrical sense....like songs...and make the effort required to master a lot more interesting.

Trumpet Etudes book
Great book for learning to sight read. You have to know all of the rules of reading. These are just exercises to keep your chops up, and they do just that.

Progressive melodic etudes
Sigmund Hering was an Austrian classical trumpeter who migrated to the United States in the 1920's. He played in number of orchestras there and wrote a series of instructional books and etudes.I bought this book because I had been struggling a bit with some harder etude books (Clarke's Characteristic Studies for the Cornet and Smith's "Top Tones for the Trumpeter"). The Hering studies are much easier to play and are probably about right for my level. To give you an idea of where I'm at, at the time of writing this review I have been playing trumpet for a bit over three years. Although jazz is my main interest, I really see the benefit of working on classical etudes. The pieces in this book are musical and fun to play, but are also stuctured to help you work on various aspects of your playing. The range is moderate - everything is below high C. The tunes progress in difficulty both in terms of the key signature, articulation, and the rhythmic difficulty. The earlier pieces are not too difficult, though you will still need to have good control of your breathing to play them properly.I noticed on the back of the book that the studies correspond to level 4 of Hering's series of trumpet instruction books in case you know them (I don't). Hering has written quite a lot of books of etudes, some easier and some harder than this particular book. If you think you are at roughly the same level as me then I am sure you will enjoy this book. A less experienced player could go for Hering's "Forty Progressive Etudes for Trumpet" and a more advanced player could maybe try Hering's "Twenty-four Advanced Etudes" (you could also try the Clarke or Smith books I mentioned earlier).

Le vieux c'est toujours bon
Super méthode qui fonctionne toujours aussi bien ! Je vous le recommande vivement si vous êtes en fin de deuxième cycle de trompette ou de cornet à piston.
