The Good: -Lots of padding where you need it -can ...
Overall, these are the gloves to get if you are in color guard. Almost all people in color guard I know, across the world, use these gloves. They're the only gloves on the market to offer padding in key areas that is actually relevant. The Good:-Lots of padding where you need it-can be washed-high quality materials-overall work great-will make your catches cleaner-easy to attach gloves together w/ the velcro straps. take it a step further and attach them to your equipment (around a rifle strap or sabre hilt) to make for very easy storageThe Bad:-when they first arrived, the gloves felt very tight. Don't think you need to buy a size up, because they really just need to be "worn in" like a stiff pair of shoes. The first day I got them, they were tight and stiff, but now they fit fine after rehearsing with them for about 3 days.-It's harder to feel your equipment with these gloves on. Because there's so much padding, I find it harder to do stuff that requires a lot of dexterity.Overall, I recommend this product. I think everyone in color guard should have a pair of gloves, and that these are better than others I've tried out in terms of not hurting your hands. The problems with this product don't come from poor design or anything, it comes from problems with gloves in general.

A good investment!
I bought these gloves because they are the ones that my guard uses, and I lost one of mine. They are padded nicely, they're durable (even though they show sweat/electrical tape stains fairly easily) and I use them every time I spin. I think you should always wear gloves when you spin because your hands can shake if you don't. I noticed that in the season that I did not wear gloves every time I spun my hand started shaking frequently and developed a little bit of a tremor

AMAZING! Please read all for size info.
I bought these a while ago from BandShoppe, and the size and quality was the same. As I said, when I bought these on BandShoppe, I went by the sizing chart, and it said 6" was XSmall. So I bought XS and it was too tight around my fingers, so I came to Amazon. Some of my weapon friends in guard had small as their size and it fit me perfectly, so I decided to buy new gloves from Amazon. I bought a small and their great! If you have 6" as you measurement, than go 1 or 1 1/2 inches bigger and that's your size, since these run small. Otherwise, they're amazing! At first, it might feel really weird when spinning or tossing weapon and flag, but as long as you always wear them, you'll get used to it. The quality is great! The seams are durable and the padding is soft enough but not too much that you can't drip-spin correctly. I recommend these, even though the cost is around $27, they are so worth it. And the shipping is really fast, it said it would come in a week, but it came in one day, which is AMAZING!

Great Guard Gloves
Yes, this is what all the colorguard kids use to protect their hands while spinning rifle, sabre, and flag. They are great. Buy 2 pairs for the season just in case! Now, if you would just invent gloves (and durable dance paws) that resist the extremely horrific, gag inducing, god awful sweat odors you'd be a billionaire... oh and while you're at it how about socks that that those annoying little black turf balls won't stick to... or maybe the perfect undergarments (female AND MALE) to wear under a spandex unitard... okay. That is all. 😂😂😂#guardmomrant #ilovemyguardkids #illmissitwhenitsover

Protected and Durable
These are my favorite gloves as someone who is primarily a weapon performer. I’ve been using this brand for six years now and I’ve never had a problem with them. I have an issue with my thumb after suffering an injury, and the extra padding on the side actually helps a lot with support for that. Ever-dri’s are well padded, and tend to “wick” more sweat than other brands and styles do - this is an aspect I quite like since you don’t want your hands slipping around. These will usually last as long as a full season. If you’re marching through out the year, I would recommend buying at least two, so one can serve as a back up once the originals wear down.

Comfortable for my indoor season!
I've been using these gloves for my indoor guard season, and they're extremely comfortable. They have a lot of padding in the palm which, depending on the person, can be a Pro or a Con. But taking a week of spinning will wear it into your hand, and from there on, the gloves are comfortable and useful. Good purchase!

Every color guard member should try these!
I wish I had bought these for my daughter, sooner. She was new to the color guard, this year. She would get nervous which made her hands a little sweaty, so she would occasionally drop her flag. Once she started using these, her spinning improved tremendously, as did her confidence. I have washed them several times and they come out clean and like new. She used them for marching season and winter guard but they show very little wear. They will probably last another 2 seasons.

Pretty good, do tend to rip at the seams though
These gloves always have the best fit. I've tried so many other gloves, but none have fit like these do! The only bad thing is that I normally have to replace these frequently because after mild/moderate use they begin to rip at the seams by the velcro or the Velcro stops sticking.
