Review: Great Upgrade for Power Hungry Devices on the Road - My old car charger struggled with anything more demanding than a phone, so I wanted something capable of keeping a laptop topped up while driving. This has handled that job without any issues, with the main USB-C port delivering enough power to charge my laptop at a genuinely useful speed during everyday journeys Compact size is another big advantage. It sits neatly in the socket without sticking out awkwardly, and the subtle LED lighting makes the ports easy to find in the dark. The fit is secure too, with no movement or connection problems even on rougher roads Having three charging ports makes it much more practical than basic car adapters. The combination of two USB-C ports and a USB-A port means multiple devices can be charged at the same time, which is useful when travelling with passengers or carrying several gadgets The included 240W USB-C cable is also a welcome addition and saves having to source a suitable cable separately Even under heavier loads the charger remains well behaved, getting warm as expected but never excessively hot. It's worth remembering that the advertised total output is shared across the ports when multiple devices are connected, so charging speeds will adjust accordingly Overall, this is a powerful and well designed car charger that offers genuine laptop charging capability, multiple ports and a compact design, making it a worthwhile upgrade if you regularly charge high-power devices on the move
Review: Compact, effective, feels good quality, charges my laptop in the car! Good value too. - This seems great - it's much more compact than my previous solution for charging a laptop in the car and it really does deliver 80W+ into a laptop while still charging a phone. It seems to manage it without getting too hot too. There is a main USB-C port for high power, then a second USB-C and an USB-A port port as well for more modest devices. Really nice bit of kit. Definitely more convenient in my car than the old one which had a big rectangular plastic box. It's not cheap, but it's slick and performs well so I still think it's solid value for £29.99 at time of review.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compact, effective, feels good quality, charges my laptop in the car! Good value too.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High Power Output in a Compact Build
*by D***L on 21 September 2026*

I acquired this LISEN 136W USB-C Car Charger to power up higher-demand devices like laptops and phones simultaneously while driving. The main draw of this adapter is the 100W PD output capability via the main USB-C port, which manages to keep up with power-hungry laptops like a MacBook Pro or HP 14 without dropping charges. Having three total ports (two USB-C and one USB-A) makes it very practical when traveling with multiple people who need to charge their devices at the same time. The unit itself feels sturdy, fitting snugly into the 12/24V cigarette lighter socket without slipping or disconnecting over bumpy roads. In terms of performance, the enhanced cooling design seems to work well; even when driving a heavy 100W load to a laptop, the charger gets warm to the touch as expected, but it doesn't overheat or throttle power noticeably. The compact profile also sits fairly flush in the socket rather than sticking out awkwardly into the console space. The only minor consideration is that while it claims 136W total output, that power is split across all active ports, so if you plug three devices in at once, the main port's speed will adjust accordingly depending on the draw. Overall, if you need a reliable high-wattage car charger capable of handling laptops and fast-charging phones on the road, this unit performs very well.
