Workmanship is fine. I wonder how well the inside will hold up as it's basically glued/not stitched to the exterior.Really reeks of the tanning/dying process. I've sprayed it with diluted vinegar and dried it, placed it in a bag with baking soda. Next I'll try putting a lavender sachet in it.It gives me a headache just opening it.

This Missal is good quality leather, soft, made to fit the Missal, and useful. I bought it to protect my Missal which I will have the rest of my life due to the year increments, and so that prayer cards would not fall out of the book. However, when I tried to insert both book ends into the fitted cover slots, I broke the spine of the Missal. Sadly all I could do was glue the inside first page to the spine to keep the book in one piece. There should be instructions about fitting the book; DO NOT try to fit the front and back Missal covers into the front and back slots—use only the back cover and insert that into the back slot. Then when you unzip your cover, the Missal’s front cover will appear, set into snug place by the back cover into the back slot,. You can store prayer cards and other material into the front cover slot.
