Beautiful pot
2 quart saucepan is a great size for every kitchen. Great quality with even fast heating. Easy to clean and with elegant and expensive design. I have quite few of Demeyere 5-plus and I prefer the handle on 5-plus to the industry line. I will buy the Proline pry pans though as they are 7-ply and have more even heating than the 5-ply lines.

When a premium brand needlessly disappoints
My first impression is one of annoyance. Two stickers attached directly to the pot are nearly impossible to remove, and I fear one will stain the pot's side! I expect this from cheap products, but it is 100% unacceptable from premium brands. And it's not like they don't know! The manual actually addresses this issue! it says:Remove the packaging and all the labels. Any adhesive residue from the labels can be removed with acetone (nail polish remover)But look at just how bad this is! Why? just why? Now I have to go out and buy nail polish remover to get this garbage off my pot! Unacceptable! They can, and should, do better than this. Very disappointing and totally unnecessary!

High quality saucepan
You get what you pay for. It's a solid saucepan, nice weight to it but not too heavy. Lid seals well. Good heat distribution. Welded handle is preferable for me, makes clean up easier. Quality design.

High Quality but Dangerous
The pan is beautiful and well constructed. However, the lid fits so tightly that when liquid is boiled, steam cannot escape. The lid is sucked onto the pan. I don't know what will happen if there is no one to watch it and liquid inside the pan boils for a few minutes. Will the pan explode? I was able to remove the lid only when I removed the pan from the heat and waited for it to cool completely. If I use the pan again, I will not cover it with the lid.

Quality workhorse saucepan
We were looking for a saucepan for everyday use for brewing tea and when I ordered was expecting a smaller one. However the size was much bigger and decided to use for heavy indian cooking. This has become a favorite as food does not stick despite being all stainless steel. It is also easy to clean and a welcome healthy replacement for the not so healthy non-stick saucepans.
