It's Awesome!
After reading all the reviews, I was encouraged to try this hanging dehydrator. We live off grid and I didn't want to run a generator for an electric dehydrator is it just didn't seem conducive. Yes, be very careful when removing this from the pouch because it is spring loaded and will open up very quickly. No big deal if you know ahead of time though. I was impressed with how well this was made, it's very sturdy and durable. Of course you still need to be gentle with the zippers but they seemed well-made. The first day I cut up 5 pounds of mushrooms and still had two racks below that were empty. This thing holds a lot! I hung it in a small project cabin that we have and started the wood stove. In less than 24 hours they were completely dry. The next day I thawed out 5 lb of frozen corn and sprinkled it between four layers. Once again starting the wood stove, they were all dry in less than 24 hours. The thing is absolutely amazing. If you have any doubts, don't. It does just what you're looking for when it comes to off-grid dehydrating. I am in a very humid state in the summer so I would not be using this as a solar dehydrator but only in dryer weather like spring, fall and winter with the help of a wood stove. Those of you who have very little humidity like in the desert areas, this would be excellent as a solar dehydrator in the sun. Definitely recommend.Edited 4/4/20 It's excellent. I loaded 2 lb of corn in each tray except the bottom layer and it held up great, although it was a bit heavy. I ordered another one because I love it so much!

Extremely useful Fiber drying
Washing and drying large quantities of alpaca, sheep, and camel fiber can be problematic. Having a multi layered drying rack allows me to wash and dry half a pound of fiber at a time. If you’ve ever washed a high lanolin sheep blanket, this is a great tool for your processing the fiber. I’ve tried the standard window screens, trying to be environmentally considerate by repurposing something that would have gone to the landfill. Using this mesh drying rack expedited the fiber drying. Since I didn’t handle the wet fiber as often, it was easier to card it for spinning.

You will never get this genie back in the bottle
It comes tied up in a carrying case, much much smaller than the actual dimensions. It is almost impossible to get it back into the case, so don't even try. Doesn't take up much space when not in use, even so: it flattens up and you can tuck it behind something on its side.Nice sturdy zipper, good wide drying area, robust Velcro fastener on top. I use mine for drying fleece and it's very effective.

Questionable Quality
I opened with care as others mentioned it tends to "pop" out. Looked nice and huge. Don't try to put back in the storage back however as it requires significant strength and agility to fold back up again (and I am already familiar with this type of "circular folding"). Once folded I tried putting back in the storage bag for the first time and the bag immediately ripped. I wasn't putting that much stress on the bag as I did have it folded properly. Also the zipper pull came off the end immediately after I had it back in the (now ripped) bag and zipped it closed.Too bad they didn't just send it "folded" and send a larger storage bag so you could store it flat without having to fold it. Waiting to see how the actual drier holds up to use since the bag lasted all of 2 minutes (of actual use). Will try to remember to update on the drier after use but so far not impressed overall.

Work well, but make sure to WASH FULLY first.
Honestly, I wish someone would test these things, see what is on them? Soap? Fire retardant? What?I washed this with a hose before putting anything in them, and a soapy type foam was generated that took me quit some time to fully rinse from the material? Other than that, they did a great job...seem sturdy enough and should last a while. I dried some basil and other herbs last year, they worked well.

Bigger than you think!
I have dried a lot of different fruits in this thing. Apples, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, blueberries, and more. The dehydrator has a lot of surface area and I have yet to encounter a single bug getting past the zippers. It does swing around a lot when it's windy, my solution has been to used a binder clip and some twine to clip and tie it down. If you're new to dehydrating, I highly recommend you look up some resources on how to do it right :)

Love This Drying Rack !!!!!
I love this drying rack. When I bought it I was amazed at how big it is. Now that I have owned it for two months I'm amazed at how sturdy it is and how much I use it. I took a chance and put several onions in it to dry distributing the weight evenly. It worked wonderfully. I have dried herbs and flowers in it. Currently with a strange pest in the garden I am stashing the odd tomato in it to finish ripening. I am here today to buy the second one. Very pleased 😀

I LOVE IT
A great place to store and dry your herbs, or other dehydrating goods. Sometimes if I need a rack open in my electronic hydrator, I remove some items that are nearly dry, and store them in this unit, until I have time to get them in the oven for a few minutes on 170 before packaging. It's a great stop-over for some of my goods, and saves me time. THANX! This would probably also work good for holding other lightweight items if pressed for room.
