Cheaper then oem Stihl trimmer head . Only time and usage will tell if this decent . The head is not so rounded off as the oem . It looks cheap . Works on the first try . Decent replacement for something you gonna tear up anyways.Update 05/08/2024 .18 months later, still working . Trimmer head issues are little. The trimmer is like the OEM but has the original spooling method and different style . Other style to spool trimmer does not require cutting 2 pieces of trimmer line. You just half the line and insert into a slot. Wind in direction of arrow and use the retaining holes and place bump head into housing and insert line into slots.

Bought this universal replacement head thinking ok it is a reasonable price and if it doesn't work I can return it. Best decision! Easy replacement of old head too simple. Fit my green works trimmer. We notice a stronger speed in the machine. One issue is to open the head for replacing the string you need two individuals to open one to squeeze the side tabs and one to open, it's a small price to pay for not replacing the entire machine.

Everything worked fine until you need to reload the trimmer cord removing the cover was okay but you’ll need a hammer to get back onCover only fits this type trimmer head cover will not interchange with the original Stihl head

Part arrive on time. Part is of good quality. Part is easy to install. I've had this Part for over a year now with no issues. Cut my edging time by 2/3 don't have to constantly restring my edger. Which was a hassle to do. With this just put it in and wind up. You just have to be concious when string is low and pull out more string.

Replacement trimmer head review:(Used three times)Knew I was in trouble when, after I saw only one line coming out of my trimmer head, I opened it and found about four feet of line left only on one side. (Never saw that happen before! (Turns out that the head ejected the other side of line without me seeing it do so).Never have had so much trouble loading a spool before. The slick trimmer line that was supplied kept slipping out of the retainer hole. After five repeated attempts, I was finally able to seat the trim line in the hole and hold it down while wrapping the line without the line slipping and coming out of the retainer hole.Also, the spring fell out. Never had that happen on a trimmer head before either!Only good thing that I can say so far is that when bumping the head, the trim line feeds out well.When I replaced the smooth trim line that was supplied by the manufacturer with serrated line, cutting was notably better and the spool was a little easier to thread the line in.My experience with other aftermarket trimmer heads has been stellar. This negative experience was unexpected and was very disappointing.I believe the trimmer head is miss-engineered.1. The spring should be inset so that it will never fall out.2. The line retainer holes are too large in diameter. (I was using the orange .095” diameter line, not the thinner (.08 or .065) green line).3. The supplied smooth .095” trimmer line was extremely difficult to re-thread without it coming unspooled. Even after spooling, it was so loose in the retaining hole, the head ejected the line.

I have only used this trimmer head twice now since I purchased it. However, so far I can not tell any difference between it and the Stihl product that I usually buy for my unit. This is a dual head feeder and both top and bottom lines feed as needed and are cut to the same correct length. Not sure how much line comes with the unit, but I will see sometime later this summer. I usually buy a roll of line and reload the head myself when needed. If I have any problems with that, I will amend my review later. Very satisfied so far, especially for the price!
