I needed the 2.5, these look great though. Most things use 2.5 though.

Here is a standard 5 mm LED, a jack, a plug, and a female connector pin alongside a dime. You had better have a connecting tool, or better yet a machine, or else the hands of a neurosurgeon and the eyes of an eagle if you hope to build a 3 conductor plug and socket in less than an hour or two. I'm no slouch at soldering, but that's what it took me. I bought these over a year ago and just got around to needing them for a special project. Trying to connect a wire to these things without a tool is more difficult then getting the biblical camel through the eye of a needle.

So, I wanted to know how to use this - but there is nothing that tells you how the metal thing into the plastic thing. In my case, it keeps falling out. You'd think there would be so much as a little card of how to make this thing work ... but nothing. So, I have a box of plastic and metal that will make it's way into the trash.
