I have two of this at my house, one used on the outside for tieing the cable system to the earth ground, another one used inside for tieing multiple Ethernet surge protectors and phone line protectors to electrical ground. The unit is compact, very straight forward to install. I was going to buy the second bonding termination unit from a big box store, but what they got was more compact, very bulky, and protrudes way out from the wall. This unit also accepts higher gauge ground cables (thinner ones), as the Ethernet surge protectors come with 16 gauge ground cable.

Bought this to bond the grounds from my phone interface box, satellite dish mount and satellite cable. Was upgrading the service panel at the time. This little box clamps around the #4 stranded copper ground wire running to the ground rods and has screw-down connectors for up to six independent ground wires. I ran a 14-ga. ground from the phone company's network interface box and the satellite cable and a 10-gauge from the satellite dish itself. It is important in these days of electronics to have all your stuff bonded together to avoid ground loops and other mysterious effects. Turned out my phone network interface box was not grounded to anything and this little jewel eliminated the static on voice calls and probably upped my DSL speed and accuracy.

An Intersystem Bonding Terminal Block (IBTB) is required by the most recent National Electrical Codes to be installed outside near where the electrical service of your house enters the building. The intent is that it provides a reliable, common location where the non-power utility installer (cable TV, telephone, satellite TV, ham radio, etc.) can ground their equipment. The Erico product seems more rugged that most, heavier. Installed easily and passed the final electrical inspection when I upgraded my house's electrical service.

I used this to upgrade the grounds at my service entrance. This is a well made product with all stainless steel screws. Simplifies all the ground connections into one accessible block.
