Not sure why I just discovered these
At first, I was taken-back by the expression "iron on." While growing up on a farm in the 1960's, iron on patches were not fashionable nor durable. Obviously, these are unseen under the collar. I ordered these in black for my microfiber polo shirts worn daily as business casual. Historically, normal wear would cause the collars to start curling at the tips and eventually the entire collar is curled upward. These collar stays were easily applied with a dry iron setting of 5 or less (my iron has 7 settings). Don't use steam in order for the glue to set. If your shirts are microfiber/dryfit brands, be conservative with the heat setting and test on a bottom section. Microfiber is a spun heated filament (stringy plastic) with a low melting point. I have melted past shirts. After the collars cooled, I applied spray starch and dry ironed again. They are working great and getting many complements. I volunteer at church as security/usher. Our uniforms are microfiber black polos. Everyone wonders why my shirts appear new after many washings. I know the patches will only survive so many wash cycles. Maybe, they will easily peel away for replacement. Additionally, it's a good idea to avoid the dryer and hang them somewhere.

Great product/price. Mine work for 20-25 washes. Eventually they will give up some stiffness, and need to be replaced
I've been wanting to write about these for several months. Glad I waited.I wear pretty much the same kind of polo to work daily. Some of them have rolled collars. These iron-on stays have worked almost flawlessly on two shirts being worn weekly for 5 months. (I have them on other shirts that I wear occasionally)I did have one fall off during the first wash. I put on a new one, making sure to get it hot enough and have had no issues. After about 20 washes each, they started to roll again and now need to be replaced. If I have any issues I'll update this review. However, I'm keeping my rating at 5 because this is a very small price to pay per shirt to have nice crisp collars. I've even given some away to co-workers to try out.

Wish I had known about these a long time ago
First, I would like to say Thank You to Stella Brands and Amazon! They have apparently updated the design to a thicker material and more rounded corners and they sent a full set of the new version along with my order, unexpectedly and for no charge! Comparing the two designs, the new is definitely improved but the old works just fine too. Very Impressed that the company would essentially double my order for free! Now, these stays won't eliminate the need to iron your shirts and collars but they will certainly do the job of keeping your collars flat during a full day of on/off with the jacket and seat belt, and after a couple of washes seem to be holding up just fine. If you wear these types of shirts a lot you know how the collars can get all warped during the day, often without you noticing and even if you do, you can't do much about it. Now you can stop worrying about at least that little part of your appearance. Installation only takes a couple minutes and you can do each shirt as you iron it for the day. Good buy!

Why didn't I look for these years ago?
I love polo shirts. They're comfortable and easy to launder/dry.The downside: The darn collars won't lay flat, even on upscale brands like Polo Ralph Lauren. The answer: These ingenious things. Work great. They last at least three wearings which comes out to about 30 cents per wear for a shirt that looks great and I don't have fix the collar everytime I stop in the restroom.

Saving grace for fancy shirts
Strangely, a lot of men's tech dress shirts don't have a pocket for stays. See for example the Archteryx Skyline series, which are otherwise fantastic shirts to wear for work in the summer or spring. These are a big help, and have stayed attached to essentially all the shirts I've stuck them on. Adhesion is a little dicier on wool, but still quite serviceable. Work very well on Ministry of Supply shirts, too.

Meh. I had higher hopes for these. They ...
Meh. I had higher hopes for these. They work for the most part but I think they need to travel further along the collar. Also, when I iron the collar from the top I am clearly able to see the triangular outline through the fabric. Also, On a white shirt the black color is perceived as a weird shadow from the front.

Will not buy again
I was expecting the material that was semi-stiff. Instead, when I opened them, I found that they were not much stiffer than the shirt itself. I was optimistic, and continued anyways. After ironing them on, the collars did stay pretty well throughout the day. After washing, forget about it. They will never be straight again, and they begin peeling off. They are a one-use-only product, which defeats the purpose of an iron-on. I will spend a little more money next time and buy a product that works. I suppose I should have expected this, seeing the low price and the "AS SEEN ON TV" label.

Works great and makes collars crisp!
I was skeptical about these but gave them a try and I'm so glad I did! I've put these on tons of collared shirts as I love a nice crisp collar. Haven't tried on and dress shirts but works for Polos and regular buttondown shirts. It's best to double up and use two side by side on shirts with larger collars though in my opinion
