I have noticed if strangers come over, popping him one can help him relax. Nice to have handy.I haven't tried composure or anything else for anxiety. I just thought the Camomile and Tryptophan (active ingredient in turkey) sounded nice and also reminded me of a seinfeld episode, I looked it up and is pretty safe. They are apparently very delicious. My dog CRAVES these and I have to hide them. He may be addicted.Sometimes when I have a glass of wine after a hard day, I give my dog one of these so he can chill too. :) He doesn't get as weird as I do drinking wine--no falling asleep or funny drugged behavior.

This product is magical. Pure, dog friendly gold. I recently got my sweet husky pup, she has never been inside until I got her, and she comes to LIFE after dark. Well, huskys being huskys, are sorta clingy and love to bark and howl, which is totally cool, but I was exhausted from sleeping 3/4 hours a night so I decided to get her some calming chews just until she warms up to her new life and schedule. She’s like a normal husky and saves her treats for another time, so I put some puppy safe peanut butter on this chew and she ate it right up!! It’s not like they knocked her out like a kid on benadryl, that’s not what i wanted, but it put her at ease and she was able to lay in her bed next to ours just fine and content without barking at me all night lol. This is an absolute must have now. Won’t be a every day thing, but it will help in certain situations. Plus, 120 of these for that price, it’s a must have for anyone even if you might use them for vet appts, 4th of July, date night, or whatever it might be!!

Tho it is very hot in Phoenix and I would like to shave my terrier for the summer, everything I have read says DO NOTdo that for dog's like terriers that have an undercoat. I did that once on another terrier and it never grew back. The coat can grow back in a splotchy way, depends on the dog. Google it! What a groomer did was thing his coat out somewhat, still leaving it long.Bottom line, my dog hated grooming so much that he was constantly pulling away, twisting around, and otherwise carrying on so I couldnt even brush him. He was fine with it, tho , after eating one of these chews. They have natural ingredients. It even changed his whole attitude. Now he will let me brush him some without the chews. What a relief, because if I dont brush him, he gets horrible mats. My groomer recommended the SUPERMAX SHAMPOO, AND CONDITIONER for preventing mats so I bought the gallon size containers. I tried a shampoo plus conditioner combination for dogs on Amazon and it made is hair mat horribly. I tried that product on myself and it made the ends of my hair tangle.

One of our dogs has major issues with thunder and fireworks and I have tried so many different things over the years, only to be frustrated by them. Either he refuses to take them or they don't work. Well, this solves both of those problems. He will take them and they work. The first test was New Year's Eve. He was still nervous, but did not bark every time he heard the pops. That in itself was a major win for my ears. Our other dogs also begged for some of the 'treats' and they proceeded to sleep through the fireworks instead of joining in the barking frenzy. I will be buying more of these.

These seem to work very well! We give 1 to our 12 lb dog and 2 to our 40 lb dog before long car rides or gatherings at our house and after 20 minutes they are visibly calmer or even sleeping!

My dog has severe separation anxiety. We were using Zuke's calming treats and loving them but they are out of production now. We are almost through our first batch of these and, incredibly, they are even better than Zuke's! The reason for the 4 stars is because these smell so horribly strong and the scent lingers on your fingers even after a wash. This is not so bothersome that we would discontinue use, however. We have repurchased already.

They have helped our old dog calm down - he has cancer and his breathing would become labored and he would get anxiety and breathe harder - this has allowed him to deal with the changes and become comfortable which is all we asked - he has even started running around and barking at meal time because of these "treats". It has allowed us extra time and him to be happy and comfortable - what more could we ask.

These calming treats are a lifesaver! I have a foster who has extreme anxiety. I don't want her to be on prozac for the rest of her life and these treats are VERY helpful. She loves them and when she hears me open the container she comes running. They definitely mellow her out.

I don’t know if this really works. I used it twice on my dog when there was a thunder storm and I did not see much of a difference. She continued to pace and stress so I don’t think it made much difference to her. I will continue to use when she gets stressed out and maybe they will work in the future

This item came a bit to late, for I was hoping to get it before mid October, but it does work, for I have seen the changes.

The product was delivered well within the estimated time and is a good natural calming aid for dogs particularly during the firework and thunder storm period.

My boy loves the taste of this product and it definitely helps to keep him calm during storms.

not sure how long it takes to calm them down, as I use in the car one dog is very nervous.
