Z906 5.1 1000 Watts Wired Channel Surround Speaker System (Black)

For below 30k, this is the best product available for music aficionados. It has premium audio quality (subjective), deep bass is a pleasant surprise, 40% bass at 50% vol is more than enough, 80% bass 80% vol shakes my 2BHK for a party. Subwoofer and speaker quality feels premium and have weight, the control console..not so much. Power is provided via a 2-pin plug from subwoofer to a power outlet. The center console connects to subwoofer via a DB-15 pin connection. The 5 speakers connect to the subwoofer via individual spring clip connectors. Subwoofer has 03 ports for 6-channel 3.5mm direct input, 02 ports for RCA (Stereo), 02 ports for Digital Optical inputs, 01 port for Digital coaxial. After running for hours, the metal backplate of the subwoofer gets very hot. I replaced it under warranty but the same is the case with the new system as well. So just as a precaution, I turn it off for about 10mins between a couple of hours of session. In terms of connectivity, Bluetooth is missing so get a Bluetooth Receiver (available under 1k in Amazon) and connect it via AUX to the Control Console whenever required. For true 5.1 channel, you need to connect a 6 channel direct input 3.5 mm aux cable (included) from the PC soundcard to the subwoofer port. HDMI is absent. Other options like RCA, Optical and Coaxial are available. The output levels for surround speakers, center speaker and subwoofer can be adjusted separately in 3D mode. Place them accordingly in a 5.1 setup and the movie viewing experience becomes surreal. Aside the heating issue, this system ticked all the boxes I was seeking, superb audio quality, room shaking deep bass, 5.1 channel experience, all below 30k. I would say this is a value for money product for the audio experience it provides.

The Logitech Z906 speaker system is an excellent choice for those who desire the luxury of a Mercedes on a Toyota budget. Despite its affordability, it competes admirably with more expensive setups that include amplifiers from brands like Denon and Onkyo. This system stands out with its active subwoofer, a feature not commonly found in similar setups. When it comes to music, the Z906 performs well, although I haven’t tested it for gaming. The experience with movies and Netflix is satisfactory. To accommodate my Fire TV Stick, I purchased an HDMI AV splitter from Amazon Basics, which works seamlessly with the system’s excellent Dolby decoding. The remote is quite responsive, and the system offers various configurations such as 2.1, 4.1, and 5.1, with Dolby DTS as a standard feature. The build quality of the speakers is impressive, and the subwoofer delivers exceptional performance. However, I do feel that the treble could be a bit more pronounced, as the bass and midrange are already phenomenal. One downside is the absence of Bluetooth connectivity and Atmos support. Nevertheless, the Z906 is a remarkable system that provides a rich audio experience.

I've been using this speaker as my primary entertainment device connected to my tv,apple tv and xbox for almost 6 months now majorly i use this for movies and music so heres my thoughts its mostly pros because i haven’t found any issues with this system, . Sound quality - it has amazing loud sound to it 5 speakers work as charm and subwoofers is best in class easily can shake ur windows and other glass eliminates in ur home Surround sound - before buy this system i did my own research about 5.1 avr systems and soundbars and let me tell u this if u truly want surround please avoid sound bars,logitech delivers amazing surround effects in 5.1 movies watching horror movies in dark room with this system is hell of a experience, netflix,prime,hotstar many apps supports 5.1 dolby sound via apple tv and it works very well Support - now this is main thing to consider before u go for this speakers, this sound system is very old compared to sony and other sound systems which u can get in market for same price point , u dont get earc option hdmi connectivity and all but let me tell u this im using this system connected via spdif cable and I haven’t miss a thing it works like charm no complaints whatsoever, Ratings Music 10 out of 8 apple music on apple tv is amazing experience u can listen dolby atmos tracks on this system u can easily drop ur headphones or apple airpods pro for this system Movies 10 out of 7, bass and everything is ok and very nice it is but some times with higher volume i think it loses bit quality but maybe u will not reach to that level because ur family wont allow that kind of loudness Gaming 10 out of 6 again same with gaming sound quality is amazing but sometimes i get hard time tracking subjects only with sound but it doesn’t matter much Verdict - go for it with ur eyes closed u won’t regret this decision

Long term used review I purchased logitech z906 in 2020 from Amazon Now its August 2025. Its been 5 yrs.. working perfectly fine... theater level bass and sound.. If you are looking sound quality more than specifications you can definitely buy this product.. its support dolby and dts .. if you are a pc user and have sound card. almost all sound format will decode....

Worst experience ever. The seller provided me defective woofer so I raise a replacement request but due to getting out of stock of the same the amazon customer care provided a return and refund request. After that my Logitech 5.1 system picked up on 11th Oct 2025 but it is not yet returned to the seller till 17th Oct 2015. Let's see how much more time it will take to return my product. It was such a horrible experience.

Voy a intentar hacer una evaluación justa e imparcial,ya que me lo compré no fué una unidad de prueba para su evaluación ni nada parecido... Dificilmente por su relación calidad precio se pueda encontrar algo mejor ,así de claro,hay mejores equipos de home cinema para pelis ,videojuegos y música(en este apartado siendo bueno no destaca tanto como en películas) pero te vas a gastar al menos 800-1000€como poco (sino recurres al mercadp de segunda mano que se ven a veces joyas bien cuidadas...El subwoofer tiene una potencia alucinante ,descomunal para el precio que tiene el equipo,ya es cuestón de separalo mas de la paredes o arrinconarlo si te gusta el sonido más atronador o menos jejjej,...los altavoces son los 5 (central,2 en los laterales y 2 traseros) iguales lo único que en celtral tiene disposicion horizontal(es para las voces),se pueden regular de manera independiente tanto los traseros como el central para las voces como el subwoofer, Como punto quizás negativo es que no tiene entrada hdmi e,n mi casa mi tv tiene entrada optica y sin problemas. aunque venden adaptadores optico-hdmi por 15.20€ y solucionado,y que no admite nuevos formatos como dts:x dts hd o dolby atmos, pero en comapracion con los altavoces del 99% que vienen con las tv de hoy en dia estos logitech es subir 5 peldaños arriba en calidad,la certificación thx de salas de cine está bien merecida,soporta dobly 5.1 y sonido dts,decir sencillamente que el sonido es CRISTALINO para esta gama de precio, nítido, distinguirás sonidos en las películas que sencillamente con los altavoces de cualquier tv normal no se oyen o se escuchan al como superpuesto unos a otros,hablo de explosiones en diferentes zonas,sonidos de animales,dialogos de personas en la lejania etc,todo perfecto, como podeis ver en la parte trasera quitando el hdmi que no tiene por lo demás va bien servido... No entiendo las quejas aquí de algunos usuarios de que en home cinema para las pelis no escuchan bien los diálogos supongo porque no han sabido configurar el subwoofer y los altavoces, además que el central de las voces puedes ponerlo más alto que los demás si quieres, respecto a la colocación de los altavoces como medida general los 3 delanteros(central izquierdo y derecho) colocarlos en la medida de las posibilidades a la altura de nuestros oidos (siempre y cuando tu sala o el sitio que lo tengas puesto te admita esto ,a veces es imposible si es un coemdoro habitacion y hay muebles,niños pequeños etc los traseros o bien a la altura de los oidos o quizás un poco mçás altos unos 50-60 cm y orientados al espectador para crear el sonido envolvente... A FAVOR: TODO ,en su rango de precio no hay nada igual,si te gastas alrededor de 1000e o mas habrá mejores.. EN CONTRA: que es imposible escuchar sonido atmos,dts x dts hd.... y que no tiene entrada hdmi aunque esto se soluciona facil y barato,,,, caldia precio un 10

Fantastic sound for the money. Well balanced highs, not overly bright, punchy crisp bass (Maybe not enough for hardcore bass heads). Good controls and inputs. I do wish the control box was a bit smaller (it feels empty and a lot of wasted space). I'd like the knob top facing rather than front facing like their older design. The use of standard speaker wire is awesome. Standard 1/4" x 20 threaded mounts but no included wall mounts 🫤 and no microphone input mute button. Included remote control is nice. Dolby DTS is awesome for movies! The 3D mode for Music/YouTube 👨‍🍳😘 is fantastic!

Per quanto riguarda la qualità del suono e la qualità generale delle casse e del sub - Top!!! Fa davvero un surround impressionante Peccato che si deve accendere separatamente, dal telecomando, però era una cosa che sapevo e ho scelto comunque questo sistema perché a questo prezzo è migliore Poi si può lasciare sempre accesa, se c’è bisogno Ha l’uscita Optical per ottenere il Dolby Digital o DTS Digital👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
