Lyric Nyjer Seed Wild Bird Seed Finch Food - Attracts Goldfinches, House Finches & Purple Finches -10 lb Bag

I used a sock feeder for the Nyjer seed and when I saw nuts mixed in I know this was trouble. As predicted, either a bird or a squirrel saw them too and made a hole in the sock letting the whole sock dump it all on the ground. Now I have to buy a new feeder as I still have quite a bit left of this 10 lb. bag. It was 28 dollars for the seed and now 21 dollars for a new feeder. I think nuts should be mentioned in this products ad.

Very fresh seed. Birds love it, they were at the feeder within minutes of me filling the station.

The birds loved it. Only problem is they ate it up so fast it will be expensive to keep the feeded full. If you want lots of birds, this product is a good one to purchase.

I can't attest to the flavor but my finch seem to enjoy.

This product works best in a feeder designed for small seeds such as niger. Curiously, most such feeeders have the access hole below the roosting peg, not above. Finches like that arrangement it seems. We have gold finches year 'round, although they lose their goldness for the winter months.

Great product and attracts many types of birds of various colors and shades. I’ve tried other seeds but they do not attract birds like this brand does. Many finches flock the socks I put the seeds in.

First review 5 stars. 2nd bag problematic. Giving 3 stars for the difference.The first bag I bought was excellent. It attracted goldfinch primarily. Some other birds used it on occasion. But the second bag must have been old. They avoided it and started using the tube feeder with mixed seed. The whole sock was completely gone in less than a week with the first bag. But I now change the other feeder two or three times and the sock is still half full, I think the brand is good IF YOU GET A FRESH BAG. BIRDS do not like old seed especially old Nijer seed Is that the bird seed company giving old seed or Amazon keeping it too long? I don’t know. It’s now more expensive than it was. I’m debating continuing wi,th this brand. My first experience was great, but I fear getting old seed again.

Apparently it's delicious because my tube feeder will have no port open (has about 20) and 30 more finches waiting in the wings for their turn. They eat it up within a couple weeks, so only January &February can I afford it.
