VEVOR Hand Swager Crimper for Copper Aluminum Oval Sleeves and Stop Sleeves, Long Hand, 24"

I echo the sentiments “I wish I’d have bought one of these years ago”. This “bad boy” is a powerhouse and perfect in size. BAM! Anything I put in the jaws, it did “the crimp” magnificently. Heavy duty… Love it! Kudos to the reviewers on how creative they were, using the crimper…. Don’t blame the crimper, blame the guy who bought it, if it didn’t meet their needs. That’s why they make so many different models. Frankly there are a plethora of sizes, features, and designs available on Amazon. These crimpers are not expensive. No doubt, you just need several, in your tool collection. There is simply no reason, not to give this crimper 5 stars… BOOM! In case there's someone else who doesn't understand. The small metal guide isn't directly for the size of the cable. The jaws are not directly for the size of the cable. Both are meant for the size of the "FERRULE" matched to the CABLE size you're CRIMPING........

I’ve needed a set of ferrule crimpers several times on occasion for various small projects but did not buy a set due to their usual high costs and so I found other ways around to crimp them if they were not load bearing. I decided to buy these for a garage door cable repair project that I needed to go right and I could not be more pleased. They did a fabulous professional job right out of the box. I did not realize they have cable cutters in the jaws as well and those worked great and clean which shocked me as I have experience with cutting much larger equipment cable 1/2” to 3/4” and that can be a nightmare without the right equipment. Great tool for the money overall.

Its a simpler design with no adjustment. Does have a go/no go gauge zip tied to the handle.

I've always flattened shade sail cable swages with a hammer, but I've had a couple of failures, leaving a chunk of jagged metal and frayed cable whipping around in the wind. So when I needed to install a couple more sails, I did some research and discovered that the solution was a swaging tool. (D'oh!) This seemed like a lot of money and a big tool for what I thought would be limited use, but once I got it, I ended up crimping all of my shade sail swages, new and existing, a total of 24. Now it seems worth the cost, especially because the connections I ended up with are so much more secure than just hammering swages flat. I've also noticed that cables anchored to trees need to be adjusted once in a while as the tree thickens, even when using turnbuckles, meaning that I sometimes have to replace a swaged end. I did a couple today and I was once again so impressed by how well this tool worked that I made a point of posting this review. Also, I hadn't used the cable cutter slot until today, and it cleanly sheared 3/16" braided steel cable with ease. Thanks, Vevor!

Long enough to make crimping easy and the gauge helps hou understand if you did it right if you're new to crimping cable. Good for experienced and newbs.

I've never used a crimper before but I have cut cable with some mediocre tools and this crimping tool cut through 3/16 cable like butter. I crimped some 3/16 sleeves to replace a cable on a hoist and was happy with the results. It's heavy like a bolt cutter and a little awkward to use in tight spaces but overall I felt it did the job well and was solid like some bolt cutters I own which are designed to cut through heavy gauge items like padlocks and bolts.

Bought this with a job in mind and it works great, it is well built and easy to use with the length of the handles, no straining like from a shorter handled crimper. I even made a couple of errors and had to cut some cable on the spot and that was done with ease with the built in cutters, Ive done over a couple hundred crimps so far and some more to come.. no signs of this crimper letting me down.

They say this tool is 6 lbs. Haven't weighed it but it feels much heavier. Works fine but is so heavy for me on a ladder, one hand holding the wire tight, trying to get it on the ferrule & crimp with one tool arm against my chest, is really tough to do. If you can go with a lighter crimper, I'd recommend doing so. I'm going to order another crimper with less weight.

Comment dire? L'article en lui même est bien et maintenant fonctionne facilement. Pour ce faire, j'ai du le démonter du moins tout les axes. J'ai du enlever la peinture sur toutes les portés, au remontage, j'ai mis de la poudre de graphite pour faire une lubrification à sec. Et surtout, j'ai serré l'axe principal juste comme il faut, pas comme un bourrin (serrage d'origine). Depuis, nickel. Pas besoin de forcer comme un malade pour ouvrir cette sertisseuse ainsi que pour sertir.
