The one thing I dislike is that the waste band is very strong/thick elastic. It could be a little longer and lend to better overall sizing. My 2 year old is skinny, 24lbs, but it's even a little tight on her. If your baby is chunky, size up in length, hopefully that will get you a bigger waste size. Or if you can do an alteration on the waste band to loosen it that would make a better pant in my opinion. Length was good at purchase but you will need to make sure you launder on gentle, warm wash/warm rinse, only lanolin soap, STRETCH, hang dry. The wool/silk mix tends to shrink more than 100% wool version that we have. These are cut for a tight, legging like fit. I find that they shrink the most in length when washed. Thinner than the 100% wool version.
