well written story
Of all the books written by relatives of Pan Am 103, this book is so far the best. Similar biographies of that disaster have been written in an almost pathetic way of self-indulgence into tragedy and remembrance of a happy past. Tragedy usually makes a good basis for any story, but tragedy also makes writers stay in their limbo of sorrow, repeating themselves throughout their writings. This book is different. The book is full of vivid stories of encounter, conflicts, anger and thoughtful discussions, at some times even humour - the cynical form of it ! It is a story of people coping with life after death. It is about surviving and fighting back. It is full of action. Which makes this book very different from other biographies of the Pan Am 103-disaster.Written by both parents of a young woman, who died in the aviation disaster, the book seems vivid and full of energy, partly because both writers are indeed professional writers. The stories of political games and legal betrayals are as shocking as the story of the disaster itself. One star is left over, because the book seems to have been written a bit hasty. Readers still need to get to "the end" of the entire story. Although there proabably never is going to be any end to losing a child in a terrorist disaster, the story of the Lockerbie bombing trial is far from finished yet. Until it is, one should read this book and read it well.

parents total love and devotion to a murdered child.
This book broke my heart. Although I remember the crash and some of the aftermath, one rarely gets a glimps of the emotion toll a mass murder can have on the victims family and their fight for justice. I believe if everything that should have been done following this tragedy had been done, then September 11th may never have happened. I hope like September 11, 2001, we never forget those who were killed in the terrorist attack on December 21, 1988 on Pan Am 103.
