Wow, SO much better than the horrible staples at big-box stores!
I recently started a landscaping project in my back yard---since I'm renting, and since my landlord is not inclined to pay for any improvements, I wanted to do it on the cheap, so when I needed something to pin down landscape fabric, I bought the staples pack at my local big-box store. When I got home and started working, I was borderline outraged at the incredibly low quality of the big-box staples---honestly, they were like a slightly thicker version of the metal used in paper clips! When I tried to pound them into my clay soil (even when I had wetted the soil), the soil just laughed and crushed the flimsy staples. I think out of a pack of 100, maybe 25 of them made it into the ground; the rest made it into the trash. So I went to Amazon hoping to find something better, and I struck gold with this item---SUPER high quality and the unit price is LESS than the cheap and useless ones from Lowes! You honestly can't go wrong with these--I just wish I had come to Amazon first instead of assuming that Lowes would actually have a quality product. Great product at a great price!

These are the landscape staples that you want...
Forget the little staples that come with landscape fabric or that are available at big box home improvement stores. These are superior in every way, are available at a better price and allow you to secure all sorts of items to the ground. I have used them to route hoses through and around delicate plants... I have used them to route main/drip line and keep in in place... I have used them to attach black plastic over large areas to "burn" out unwanted weeds... And I have of course used them to secure landscape fabric (even in cases where I just covered up tall grass without cutting it)... These performed flawlessly in all of these cases... Shipping is fast and the product is consistently good...

Better Than Previous Brand!
We are doing a major landscaping project, which requires a lot of landscaping fabric. We are also using mesh wire under the fabric, due to the abundance of gophers...ugh! The first ones we bought (another brand from another supplier) were good. They did what they were supposed to. I saw these and thought we would give them a try. Wow, our we glad we did! The two staples are the same length, but these staples are much better made: a little thicker, which makes them stronger and easier to put into the ground. We only had one problem with our shipment: the box could not hold the order. The box was busted open on one end when the postal carrier brought it to our door and staples were poking out through the hole. Mind you, this was not a small hole. I was surprised USPS did not tape it, which is what they have done in the past. That may not be their policy now. I would recommend to the vendor to use strapping tape around the ends. Although we had this issue with the shipping, we are still giving the vendor 5 stars because we are so pleased with these staples! We will be back, should we need more. Thanks!

Product is not 9 gauge (just regular staples)
According to the description I was supposed to receive 400 brand new 9 gauge staples from Rangemaster. Instead I received 4 unmarked/unlabeled bags (2 of them already open) and staples did not appear to be 9 gauge. When I contacted the company at (424) 234-6751 and talked to customer service representative, I found out:A. the staples are not from Rangemaster, [Further research showed that Rangemaster (rangemasterfence.com) actually does not manufacture landscape fabric staples]B. they are non-brand generic staples,C. he cannot explain why the bags were openD. most importantly HarmoniCreations DOES NOT CARRY 9 gauge staples and they sent me 11 gauge ones.I am not going to debate whether the seller knowingly or unknowingly provides false information on the website and then sends different product to the customers. Instead I would like to focus on the importance of "accurate" reviews. i.e. How many customers would actually measure the thickness (gauge) of the metal, but still go ahead and write down a very positive review?.. Unfortunately there are companies out there that do business relying on people's lack of knowledge and/or ignorance. Finally customer service representative did not want to return or exchange the product since they do not have anything in the store meeting 9 gauge requirement. He gave me 50% off on the delivered product which I do not need...I am waiting for Amazon to follow up on this matter and actually find a way to provide me the product I actually ordered.I hope this review helps the others.

Not quite as sturdy as I'd like
Company shipped these very quickly and provided excellent service. Note that these wire staples aren't extremely sturdy. They work great, and are well suited for holding dog fence wire down, but they also bend fairly easily when trying to push them into the ground. These worked so well, that we ordered a second box of them. I would definitely recommend them for anyone wanting to lay wire on top of the ground instead of burying line. Would have given 5-Stars if they were just a little more sturdy.

high quality
We built a temporary dog pen (about 25 ft. square) using 6" diameter wooden poles and wrapped wire fencing. I used these staples to hold the bottom of the fencing to the ground and they do a great job. So far it has discouraged my dog from trying to push under the fence, but I think I will need to add additional barriers to keep him from digging under. I will also be using these staples to hold the wire to the ground on our invisible fence. We are running it around 15 acres of woods and there is no way that I am going to dig a trench the whole way. These staples will do just fine to hold the wire close to the ground long enough for leaves, dirt etc... to eventually cover it.

Just right for my job
I wanted staples that weren't too thin (you know, the ones that bend as soon as you apply pressure to them), had a square-ish top (so it spreads the tines across more of the landscape fabric, and so you can use them to "staple" your drip lines into place), and weren't too expensive. These are great. Thick enough not to bend, thin enough not to be a pain to get in (even in our clay soil), and well designed. Couldn't ask for more (unless they were free!)
