Lucas Oil Red N Tacky Spray Grease

This stuff lives up to the name—red and tacky! Sprays on easy, grips like it means business, and stays right where you put it. No more squeaks or slipping parts. Messy? A little. Worth it? Absolutely

I've used Lucas Oil products for automotive and garage projects, and Red N Tacky Spray Grease is one of those products that's easy to keep within reach. What I like most is the spray application. There are plenty of hinges, linkages, moving parts, and other tight areas where applying traditional grease can be messy or difficult. With the spray, I can get lubricant into areas that would otherwise require a brush, grease gun, or a lot more effort. It sprays on easily and then leaves behind a heavier grease coating than a typical light penetrating lubricant. That's useful when I want something that will stay on the part instead of immediately running off. I've found it handy for various automotive, garage, and general mechanical projects where metal parts need lubrication and protection. The aerosol can also makes it easy to keep on the shelf and grab whenever something starts squeaking or binding. Like any lubricant, I use it where appropriate and keep it away from surfaces where grease absolutely doesn't belong, such as braking surfaces. Lucas Red N Tacky was already useful as regular grease. Putting it in a spray can just means I can now reach the places that apparently didn't get the memo that my hands aren't six inches wide.

I don’t even understand how I got work done before I discovered this product. As a wise old man told me, sometimes you don’t want to put penetrating oil on things… sometimes you need grease. I have used red tacky grease for years, but never knew that it came in a spray can. This is one of those things I always make sure I have two of them on my van, and when one’s gone, I order two more! I brought my van to the mechanic and he wanted to know how I got the red grease everywhere. I showed him the can of spray grease and now he’s sold on it too.

I purchased this to use on snow blower transmission. Really sticks well to chain and gears.

Works great. I use it on my snowplow on all the moving parts and joints. Stays in place even on the snow and salt.

Be sure to shake well

Used it to silence EXTREMELY noisy leaf springs and bushing mounts (on a lifted ‘06 F150 FX4) after neither white lithium grease nor heavy duty silicon spray proved to be effective. Almost deducted a star or two because it shoots with force and releases a larger amount than desired, resulting in many red spots on the driveway, but I decided it was operator error. Spots partially washed away with a garden hose but completely disappeared after first rain. Similarly priced to other aerosol lubricants and produces a fine stream. Plenty of grease left for future applications. Would be excellent if a straw tube was included. Purchasing an extra can as soon as I submit this review.
