59787 Model K-3 Toilet Auger with Unclogging 3-Foot Snake and Bulb Head

The K‑3 was easy to use and worked well for a stubborn clog that was deeper than usual. In hindsight, I probably should have bought the 6‑foot version, but I was still able to make this one work by alternating between the auger and a plunger. The plunger pulled the clog closer to the toilet, and the auger chewed away at it in small chunks until it finally broke up and went down the drain. For a 3‑foot model, it did exactly what it was supposed to do. I’m keeping it, since clogs that far down don’t happen often, and it’s a solid tool to have on hand.

This thing saved my toilet! I had clogged my toilet and it was really bad. Like, horrendously bad. I have a super mega deluxe plunger and it wasn't even touching the issue. My whole toilet was unusable and disgusting. Poop lake water up to the brim and very stanky. There was absolutely zero way I was going to have the maintenance guy come into my apartment and see this poop disaster. I had to become my own plummer to spare myself lots of embarrassment and to save the maintenance guy from being traumatized by this disgusting sight. So, I ordered this amazing thing. It is actually pretty lightweight considering it is very durable and made with proper materials. I am a tiny person and I think I was not actually using it properly cause I couldn't really twist the handle while pushing the stick thing at the same time. But it still worked! My clog was like concrete stuck way at the bottom of the toilet pipe and I could feel it when I was shoving this auger in there. No wonder my toilet was so messed up! I just shoved the auger in and squiggled it around and pulled it up and down to break up the clog. Then I used my plunger to plunge. Then I repeated about three times because this was the clog of the century. Then, finally, I was plunging and my toilet cleared! My toilet is fixed! And now if I ever have this big concrete clog issue again after eating too much candy and onion rings, I can use this amazing auger to avoid embarrassing myself by having to get someone to help me. This thing works!!!

This little device has saved me $$ from calling a plumber. We have those water saver toilets that suck by the way and are constantly getting clogged. This device is so easy to use and unclogs my toilet better than a plunger. 🪠

I bought this to clean out a garage floor drain that had become clogged. For that purpose, it worked well. However, I have since tried to use it twice on toilets as it’s intended. It worked once, but took me quite a while to maneuver it into the pipe to the point it could clear the clog. The second time, I just couldn’t get it to go far enough into the pipe and I had to use a plunger to clear the clog. I’m not sure what would make it easier to use. Having said that, it was a good price and probably worth the amount paid for it to work some of the time but not all of the time. It is easy to grip and turn, so it is useful when it is able to reach the clog.

Product arrived 4 days earlier than it was suppose to and OMG did it work wonders for my purse, plus my toilet which took a lot of strength using a plunger on several occasions to try and unclog it. My husband tried with the plunger as well and it did nothing to unclog my mess. I refused to call the plumber because I did not want to spend that much money so I tried another DIY concoction with baking soda, vinegar and hot water needless to say it did nothing to unclog the toilet either. I was determined to hold on to my money so I went to work searching the internet for other ways to unclog the toilet and came across 'closet auger' so of course I googled it and ended up on my favorite online store "Amazon" to see if it was available for purchase there and also to see the reviews in order to purchase the best of the lot. Man, oh man, was I happy with my decision to buy this one!!! It cleared the toilet on my first attempt in less than 3 minutes, after having to share my daughters toilet for 2 week :-(. I felt like I had won a jackpot when the toilet flush freely on my first try!!! It did not take any extra effort or strength to use this tool which makes it even more awesome !!! I don't have to depend on anyone to unclog any of the three toilets in my home ever again!! (even though they don't clog frequently, at least I am well prepared for when they do). This product will always be in my home from now on. The fact that it has a lifetime warranty for some things makes it more reassuring in purchasing it. I promise you if or when this one goes bad I will be replacing it with this very same product. I was tempted to buy the 6 foot one because I feared the 3 foot wouldn't do the job, but after reviewing the 6 foot one and saw that it needed some strength and effort to use it, I reverted to the 3 foot which was perfect. I saw in I think 2 or 3 reviews that the porcelain was scratched. My advice is in order not to scratch the porcelain make sure you watch the video on how to use the closet auger before you attempt to use it . That is what I did and not even the tiniest of a scratch occurred.

Very sturdy and well built. Better than the cheap knock offs you will typically find in stores. It is a "RIDGID" product and therefore this breeds confidence in itself. Has a solid metal shaft - not flimsy like others. Strong handle to rotate and clean out doo-doo and unmentionables from your toilet drain. Worked like a charm. Very easy to use. Saved me a big plumbing bill. Highly recommended.

The product arrived very late & it was re-packed meaning it was a used item. Repackaging toilet items isn’t nice.

This is a great tool, does exactly what it says on the tin and is relatively easy to use. One word of warning, be careful if you do not have a solid waste pipe, it could damage one of the flexible concertina waste pipes.

It’s so easy to use, not even that heavy either. Love the design how it does not scratch the porcelain and does a great job of extracting any blockage. Highly recommend.
