Dental Fresh water additive for cats
This stuff does work. The cats seem to drink more of the treated water than the untreated. Their tooth and gum issues are better after seven days. No more bleeding gums and the tartar is visibly reduced. I put in the water for the neighborhood ferals and I noticed they are doing better too. I’m re ordering more Dental Fresh.

Jury's Out...
I've only just received this product a few days ago, so I can't comment on if it'll actually clean my cat's teeth, or not, but I wanted to do a first impressions review. For starters, an 8 ounce bottle, is very small. To get a better idea, it's half the size of a 16 ounce bottle of drinking water. So, if you want to be able to use it regularly, it's going to get expensive. Secondly, they claim it's "flavorless", yeah, that's a lie, lol. Have you tried it? I try everything that I give them (except wet food), and this stuff tastes like hydrogen peroxide, or getting a little bit of extremely diluted, chlorinated pool water in your mouth. Mostly, peroxide. I actually feel like I spent almost $10 on a tiny bottle of peroxide. They recommend one teaspoon per every 8 ounces of water. This is the ratio that I taste tested, and like I said, it tastes like peroxide. Peroxide mixed in aloe water, is a better description, I think. If I were an animal, I wouldn't want to drink this. As a human, I would not like drinking this. That's risky business because you're either facing them not drinking water, not drinking enough water, or you're in a situation where you're having to put out multiple servings of water, some treated, some not, and just hoping they drink the treated water. In which case, why even bother, because no animal would willingly choose this, over plain, fresh water. I could see a decent amount of dogs falling for this, but cats are so finicky, I just doubt mine will get enough of this product, for it to be beneficial. We shall see. Again, this is just my initial impression.Update: I started adding the recommended teaspoon to more than 8 ounces of water, because I noticed my cats weren't drinking as much water as usual. Regardless, it began making my cats throw up, and they also suffered from diarrhea. All within a week of using this product. Long story short, it was a waste of money.

I bought this and some minties treats for Elvira. It doesn't seem to have any scent and is clear. She doesn't drink a lot of water, as we give her moist food. But she does seem to want the water refreshed, where I didn't notice that before. It doesn't come with specific use instructions, other than "consult your vet". So that's not terribly helpful. But I have a 4.5cup container for the water and I add about half a capful. Seems to work. It is inefficient bc she does not drink even a cup of it before she's wanting fresh water. Now, she has been know to drink foul fowl-water (had ducks& other outdoor water), so it must be perceptible to her. So that's my only issue with it, the appropriate use rate.Bc it seemed to be being used up to quickly, I stopped use of it to see he reaction. She seems to drink a bit less water. Idk if that is linked to her diet (bc she's being finicky about the wet foods lately), time inside, or the lack of the breath freshener product. (She does still beg for the minties. Imagine a cat worried about her breath. Lol)But definitely worth the purchase, I believe. I would go 4.5 stars for the lack of real instruction, if it were possible.
