Easy to work with, and tasty :)
I've always wanted to try my hand at cake decorating, even if just once! So for my husband's birthday I decided to surprise him by making him a cake decorated with fondant. I read online that people said not to buy Wilton because it doesn't taste good. Ultimately, you should make your own, but that's too ambitious for me for a first time so I bought this! It's hard at first, like clay, but once you've been kneading it enough it's nice and soft and smooth. It took color well, but my colors were bright so I had to use a lot of gel, which caused the fondant to become sticky. I added corn starch which helped a bit.As far as taste, I thought this was pretty good! It's sweet, and doesn't taste too plastic-y like cheaper stuff does. I enjoyed eating it in small amounts.Definitely not going to continue the cake decorating hobby though! It's certainly not for the faint of heart ;)

Truly Ready To Use!
I’ve worked with fondant that was a real workout. This was soft and workable without any kneading at all! It rolls out like a dream. Making shark teeth for my Shark Week cake was a breeze! It stays soft so you don’t need a saw to cut through it and it tastes really good (really sweet, but it’s FONDANT)! Although I didn’t need to, I imagine it would be really easy to color with a drop or two of gel food coloring and a little kneading to mix it in. Just make sure you take what you need out of the container and keep the rest covered tightly so it doesn’t dry out. Will definitely purchase again.

Easy to use
I use the Buddy Valasteo fondant to decorate my 20th wedding anniversary cake and it was so easy to use. It is very soft when kneading and did not require any Shortening to soften. Did not have any cracks or tears. Taste is great also, although I did add some almond flavor for my cake. I did color it for another cake and it was a challenge to get the color I needed, but I think it was the he’ll itself and not the fondant. Use two other brands before, but I Will definitely be buying this brand again. Hopefully they will make this brand in a Marshmallow flavor.

Don’t Buy
What a nightmare! This fondant is horrible and I will never purchase again. I bought two different brands this one and Wilton’s preferred fondant. The Wilton’a fondant was amazing I did have to hydrate it just a little but other than that so easy to work with and I will buy that again. I love you Buddy Valastro but this fondant I purchased was trash. The fondant was as hard as a brick there was no kneeding this product there was absolutely no elasticity, and it was dry and crumbly and I tried hydrating it but that was no use this fondant was not usable and I just wasted money on this product.

Mehhh
It was ok. I’m no Buddy Valastro I guess. It was my first time with fondant. Not a fan of the flavor. Very hard to work with. I can’t really speak to the quality of this product as it was the first and only time I’ve used fondant. To each their own I guess. I prefer the taste of regular frosting.

Dries really fast
I was a little nervous about ordering this fondant after reading the reviews about cracking. I’m a die hard Renshaw’s fan for covering my cakes, but they were back ordered on black and I only needed it for some decorations on a cake order, so I decided to give it a try. It does dry fast, however, I didn’t have an issue with any cracking. It was really soft right out of the container so I didn’t have to knead it very much. I don’t mind using it to make future fondant cake toppers, but because of how quickly it dries, I don’t think I would chance covering a whole cake with it.

Kinda hard but workable. Sweet marshmallow taste.
Arrived pretty hard. After watching what felt like 200 YouTube videos on how to use hard fondant, I learned that you can kneed it and it becomes softer.. the warmth from your hands makes it easier to work with and roll out.It basically tastes like a slightly sweeter marshmallow. Which some people enjoyed but it wasn't for me.Do not let your fondant sit out after you roll it out. It gets stiff pretty quick. So roll and placebos your cake right away. Also, you'll need to use a buttcream on your cake first in order for the fondant to stick.. I cursed a lot and it took me 4 hours, but it came out kinda cool.Good luck.

Gluten free and easy to use!
This black fondant looked amazing and was easy to use (we are not cake pros!). We were happy it did not dye everyone at the party’s lips and teeth black (I saw that once with a blue fondant, lol!). Also, this is a rare gluten-free fondant, so that’s awesome for this celiac household!
