These filters don't last anywhere near as long as advertised. I've used distilled water in my kid's vaporizer in hopes of extending the life of the filters, but instead of 30 days, I can't get more than a few nights use out of them. I think 6 days was the longest I've used one before the smell became bothersome, and it was more than discolored by that point. I have followed all instructions to the letter, but still the end result is the same - smelly, moldy, discolored filters.

I was looking for replacement filters for our Vick's GermFree humidifier, which only came with one filter that needed to be replaced after a few months. As soon as I saw the filters, I knew that they're not exactly like the manufacturer's filter, but I thought they'd be OK. When it was time to replace the manufacturer's filter, it was just dirty. When it was time to replace the Pro Care filter, it had mold all over it - not what I expected, or wanted to see. There was no change in the conditions in which we had been using the humidifier, and I had followed the cleaning and disinfecting instructions (every week). I'm not happy that there was mold in the filter, and will probably try a different replacement next time.

Wish I could post zero stars. This thing is disgusting and got moldy basically overnight, it stinks and got nasty so fast. We change the water and rinse the filter all the time, this is in my baby's room. Thank goodness I smelled it and check it immediately. Never had this issue with the original Vick's filters- DO NOT BUY THESE is my advice.

I couldn't find replacement filters at Babies/Toys R Us, where I purchased the humidifier (Vicks Starry Night), or at Walmart or Target either. Once I found this deal, a two pack, I purchased it right away. It came quickly and fits just right. It's also nice to have a back up filter on hand too!

I have two humidifiers, a Vics and Sunbeam (both models listed as compatible) that take this filter. The Vics is shaped in an oval and the Sunbeam a circle, since the filters are malleable you shape it to fit. I believe I read one review that said the Sunbeam smashes the filter down, mine does as well but it's very minor and doesn't affect function.I run the humidifiers every day (with water in the winter and without in the summer) as both a white noise for the kids while sleeping and to add moisture to the air when it's dry out. The filters last roughly two years. I'm not sure if running it dry has anything to do with that or not but I feel I get my dollars worth out of them. While I haven't tested many different filters I feel these do a good job and haven't had any complaints.

This product was not as advertised. It said it would fit a model 3700 humidifier, and its not even close to the right filter.
