Short review (to the point) Plugged in, powered up, and my Xbox lit green for 4K60 + HDR10 instantly. Apple TV 4K looks perfect. Auto-switch works; nice that I can disable it. Solid build, proper 18 Gbps/HDCP 2.2, no handshake fuss. If you need reliable 4K60 HDR across multiple inputs, this is the box. Long review: After two failed “4K” boxes that down-negotiated my signal, the Kinivo 350BN worked the moment I plugged it in. My setup: Xbox Series X and Apple TV 4K into the 350BN → TV’s HDMI 1 (UHD/Deep Color on). Powered from the included wall adapter. Results: Xbox shows green checks for 4K 60 Hz, HDR10, 10-bit in the TV details screen. Apple TV runs UHD 4K flawlessly; with Match Dynamic Range/Frame Rate enabled, HDR content pops and menus stay clean. No flicker, no HDCP tantrums, no color banding. Why it works: Proper 18 Gbps / HDMI 2.0 bandwidth, HDCP 2.2, and an auto-switch you can toggle off if a streamer stays “awake.” The remote is simple, port LEDs are readable, and the metal chassis feels solid. It’s not a 2.1/120 Hz device—and that’s fine for a 4K60 HDR setup like mine. Tip: Keep HDMI runs short and power the switch from the wall, not a TV USB port. If your TV has a per-port “UHD/Deep Color” option, enable it. Bottom line: Zero handshake headaches and full-quality 4K60 HDR10 from both Xbox and Apple TV. This is the one I wish I bought first.

My TV only has one HDMI input so I needed this HDMI switch so we didn't have to keep moving the cable from the NVidia Shield Pro to the Nintendo Switch. I only just installed this device but I'm impressed. The Shield Pro remote still turns the TV on and off as before and moving over to the Nintendo Switch is as easy as powering it on. I don't have to press the button or use the remote for the HDMI switch, exactly what I wanted. ARC audio to my soundbar is also still working properly. My only complaint is the ugly branding on the top of the HDMI switch. I may end up covering it with some vinal tape to clean up the appearance. Overall I'm happy with this purchase and I hope it continues to work for a very long time. As an additional note the power adapter is dual voltage. USA style plug. This unit shows no signal loss that I can see between the source and the display. This was a first concern for me. Second, it does exactly what they say it does...and that's part of the problem. I placed this unit in between Samsung components that support Anynet+ and evidently this unit allows communication from the display back to the source, which I didn't expect. Very strange things happened. Units would turn on and off when the port on the Kinivo switched, the auto sense feature would turn off one thing and turn on another. I finally had to disable the Anynet+ feature on the TV to get things to work. A slight disappointment since now I don't have the features of that feature anymore. And they are absolutely right about auto sense not working with Roku. Now, I knew this going in so the manufacturer can't be blamed for inconvenience here, but from an engineering standpoint, I think one of the ports should be blocked off from the auto sense feature so I don't have to get up every time to hold the button in for eight seconds to turn auto sense off. Would make sense right? If the circuitry can't accommodate units that always have a positive feed, make one port not in the auto sense sequence, but still selectable by the remote. Just sayin'.

This is a functional switch, the second one we've purchased for our expanding live streaming operation. Our church streams the services which sometimes include Zoom connections with other congregations in our region. The switch enables us to transition smoothly between sources, providing the appropriate source images and sound to our video switcher to blend with the in house camera images for as finished a product as our volunteer crew can assemble.

This is my third 4k Switch. I had the Zettaguard 4k x 2K and it did not have HDCP 2.2 compatibility. It was wonky from the start and it did not auto-switch well and there was lag in the picture when playing video games. I sent it back as it was falsely advertised as having HDCP 2.2 capability. Then I had TOTU's switch. I have other TOTU products, which I love. They look good and the quality is nice. But that switch just stopped working. Had it for a week and it just stopped working. So this Kinivo switch was my 3rd attempt at getting a working switch. I FREAKIN' LOVE THIS THING. The picture on all of the attached components is stellar, with no lag, blur, shadows, etc. It switches easily, with a minimal delay. It auto-switches well and the remote has good range and function. Everything I needed it to do, it does. That is all I wanted. Is it perfect? No, there is a second delay in seeing the picture when you switch manually. It seems to like to switch automatically more easily between the DVD and the XBOX, than the ROKU and the other components, but in all honesty, I watch the ROKU 85% if the time and I am typically switching from that component. So I rarely am bothered by its preference for switching to the other components. In short. I forget it is there. And that is the point. It allowed me to connect my major components to my Optoma 4k projector without issue and keeps the picture, whether we are watching 3D or gaming, fabulous.

I ordered this and a few other pieces of hardware to attempt to use some of the newer features on my TV with my older, but still phenomenal, sound system. The other bits didn’t work out, but this little thing is a champ. I’m able to stream 1080p HDR from a PS4 and 1080p from an XBox 360, while automatically selecting them by turning on the relevant controller, from across the room despite neither of these things being stated as supported in the manual. Set up is currently a Bluerigger 40’ HDMI cable from switch to TV, with the XBox in Input 1 and the PS4 in input 2. This puts the PS4 farther down the priority chain. As long as I power off the PS4 rather than put it in “rest mode”, both consoles work perfectly with the autoswitch function. Now I just need to find either a good HDMI 2.0/2.2 ARC extractor, an HDMI 2.0/2.2 over Ethernet adapter, or a device that does both! Regardless, I’ll definitely be looking to these next time I need an HDMI switch. As for the low rating on the remote, I’ve honestly never gotten the thing to work, but I really didn’t put a lot of effort into figuring out what was going on there. Once I got the auto switching to work, the remote was irrelevant.

The picture quality is great and thankfully it has an auto sensing feature to change the input. The remote control does not work at all and I even tried a new battery. The indicator light that shows which input I'm using is also incorrect so that made for a challenge when learning to use this thing. I'd suggest finding another option, but if you can learn to work with its quirks it's good enough.

It works well. I use an Apple TV and they can trigger cheaper HMMI switches to unintentionally trigger, which can be frustrating if your playing a game. This one doesn’t do it. I use a WIIM amp so I don’t have a ton of receiver ports. This fits my simple modern setup just right.

Me ha costado mucho encontrar un conmutador HDMI que soportase Dolby Vision, el control de dispositivos HDMI vía CEC y que aparte de la selección Manuel manual (o con el mando) de la fuente, esta se seleccione automáticamente según están disponibles o no los equipos (con señal de vídeo o sin) en caso de estar todos activos tiene prioridad la señal en el puerto 1. Muy bien ingeniado

I’m only writing this as I’m sick of reading hundreds of reviews to figure out some answers. Bought the 3 port box rather than 5. This is a powered switch so takes up a wall socket so bear that in mind. You’ll also need an extra hdmi lead for the switch to TV part. Rigged up my Sky Q and kids Nintendo Switch in a 4K TV and it seems to switch flawlessly without using the remote. Gave it a go with the ps5 too and that worked as well and picked up auto switching. No picture loss and no jamming etc. Only thing I encountered when first set up is that the remote didn’t seem to work - so took battery out, and put back in and works fine, albeit the range is limited. Also encounters the occasionally switching problem if the Sky Q box goes into standby whilst using a different item but that’s a tiny inconvenience. Switching channels takes about 1 second. Made an expensive 4K tv with three ports into a six port tv now!

This is a great little product. Our second TV did not have enough HDMI inputs to connect more than 2 units so this unit gave us the ability to have 3. The unit comes in a nice box with full protective packaging. A great little manual is included inside with everything you need from initial connection setup to functionality of the unit and remote. It also has instructions for additional features. The remote comes with a working battery so you won't need to run out and get one. It's a little on the small side but then again it's only used to switch inputs and it's clearly marked on the remote. The unit is compact, looks nice and lights up well so it's pretty easy to see the input selected on the front panel. Connecting it was so easy. The picture quality when switching from one unit to another is fantastic. I do not see any degradation at all, at least not to my eyes. In fact I thought the picture quality was better than before. This is truly a great value. Highly recommended.
