I always end up going back to these when I try out new scrubbers. I have an assortment of dish washing tools in the sink but this is the most effective. I buy a huge box in case they become unavailable for some reason in the future, but each one lasts so long that years go by before I need to reorder. I saw in reviews that people do not know how to keep them clean, so they fault the sponge. After use, I squeeze out the excess water and let them dry, then very occasionally rinse them with a weak solution of bleach, rinse out the bleach and let them dry.After I got my latest brand new dishwasher replacement, I stopped using a dishwasher. It doesn't get things clean. The cost and environmental insult of dishwasher soap is ridiculous, as is the long period of time sloshing dirty water over dishes. Because my cooking, baking and serving are pretty involved, many of the important implements I use would either not fit well in a dishwasher, would get ruined in a dishwasher, or would not be available for immediate use if waiting for the dishwasher to get a full load. By the time I would get things pre- or post- washed for the appliance, I would not be saving much time or labor. Besides, I love the sparkle and gleam of hand-washed dishes. They dry quickly and are ready to be used again, so I find I don't need so many fleets of place settings, so many extra glasses, etc. because they are quickly washed and air dried instead of piling up in the dishwasher.These dobies make it a very pleasant task instead of a chore. Right now I have two on duty, one for greasy or smelly work, the other for glassware or light duty, like china dessert plates. I use them longer than I should, which I notice when I replace them and realize that the edges of the plastic strands of the old sponge were quite worn down. I demote the old sponge to other duties in the utility room sink or garden sink and only throw them out when they are too filthy with serious outdoor or grill muck to use again.Just can't imagine the kitchen without them. They hold soap and water as needed, scrub surfaces effectively, do no harm, fit in my hand, economical, available from Amazon. I do keep trying new and different products to see what I might be missing, but nothing comes close to these. Perfect!

One of the little perks for dish washing. If you are a Dobie fan you know what I mean. We like the assorted colored ones instead of plain yellow. Great to just order a dozen and be set for quite a while. Sometimes hard to find the mixed colored ones at the supermarket, so this keeps them handy in the pantry.

I’ve bought these a few times, they are good sponges but boy did the price go up.

My family swears by these. Usually we get the plain colorless ones, but when I saw these, I couldn't resist. We have the red one for "meat" dishes, and the blue and green one for the rest of the vegetarian cooking (as one person in the house does cook/eat meat). They lather well, and are safe on nonstick while still giving stubborn stuck on food a run for their money!

I love dobies and have used them my whole life. The colored version are so much fun!

Love the colors. These pads are very versatile, scratch resistant, clean easily and are the perfect size. Nice value for the money as well.

These are great to use on scratch resistant pots and pans and hard food on other dishes. Just a lot of them that should last several yrs- probably I’ll die before I can use them all! Like the various colors so I can differentiate the ones for people food and ones for the pet bowls!

These sponges scrub well for things that may be cooked onto a pan, and any food residue you scrub off seems to rinse off of the sponge nicely. However, if you have something greasy, they do not do well on that. Maybe because they are a soft of "plastic" feeling material, and scrubby, they do not catch the grease well. I use a dish cloth for greasy items, but these sponges are great for anything that needs scrubbed. I also put them in the dishwasher once a week to sanitize. They come out well. I usually use them for about three weeks before tossing and getting a new one out. Not because they fall apart; I have not had any fall apart. But even with putting them in the dishwasher, I still like to replace them with a fresh one after a few weeks.
