Good quality three star lock for maximum security and competitively priced. Took under a minute to fit using existing location screw. Anybody could fit this with just a screwdriver needed. Check your house insurance. This type of lock might be required to validate the policy.

The lock is very good and I fitted it very easily. The delivery however was not good. The initial estimated delivery date was 1 week after ordering this turned out to be just over 2 weeks after contacting the seller who then chased up Royal Mail. I must add the seller was very helpful in dealing with this problem and kept me informed throughout and until the issue was resolved. I have since ordered 2 extra keys and I am currently awaiting delivery, the delivery charge for these keys was £4.80 which I thought was expensive.

Good quality and fitted well. First brand I’ve purchased that’s not Yale and not been disappointed.

Pros:The snap proofing is on both sides (unlike some other locks) so you can have it either way around.Easy to fit.The keys have a red jacket covering so easy to identify from other keys.Cons:None really only aesthetically; I would prefer it to be all chrome or shiny brass but doesn’t matter as I fitted it to an out house.

I bought the ERA Fortress Euro lock to replace the most basic of Euro locks with no security features whatsoever. I appreciate that some people aren't quite sure how to change Euro locks, but changing a Euro lock is well within the scope of the average homeowner. In my case it involved removing just one screw and then easing out the old lock (with the key still inserted to ensure the cam lined up), so no locksmith required. I would say if one isn't sure of the correct size to order, I highly recommend removing the lock you are replacing and measuring it carefully prior to ordering a replacement. There are plenty of tutorials online to show how this is achieved.Anyway the ERA Fortress lock arrived and I swapped it in place of the original door lock in under two minutes. It really is the simplist of jobs. With a key inserted into the lock, I inserted the ERA Fortress lock into the door lock cavity and I secured it with the existing screw from my old lock. Two new securing screws of different lengths are provided with the lock, you just choose whichever one fits correctly though for me, I ended up using the original screw that secured my old lock as the thread is the same and the screw length was the best fit for my door.As far as features are concerned, well exactly as the description and photos supplied on Amazon. Looks and feels a good bit of kit. I believe it has security features replicated on both ends of the lock itself. The keys come with a rubberised red end cap for easy identifcation against other keys. The key itself operates smoothly in the lock when turned. I've bought some graphite lock powder to ensure the lock continues to operate smoothly in the future.All in all, for the price and security features, I believe I have purchased a quality lock, certainly a lock with far better security features than the one I replaced it with. I have paired the lock with a set of PAS24 door handles for added security.
