Believe this is the chain i want! Is It?** A: Yes Patrick but to be on the safe, here's a trick I learned that's fool proof. All you do is count the small cutting blades on your old chain and that would be the chain number you need, ie: S49, S50, S52. I tell you this because I have a Poulan Pro and I was told that I needed a S52 but it turned out too long and I ended up going through all the trouble of returning it. So I went to the local hardware store and a very helpful employee just counted the links on my old one and it came out to 49 so he said I needed an S49 and voila! it worked perfectly. I hope this info helps but of course if you don't have the old chain available then we would have to assume that the 52 stands for 52 cutting links. **Q: Will it replace craftmans part # 71-3617 for an old Craftman 14" electric chain saw** A: Yes.......it will fit all 14-inch saws........the quality is very good. I have two 14-inch bars for my chainsaw, one that fits s49 and the other s52.
