Husqvarna. Svenska. Gut.
Nice medium duty chain. Keep it out of the dirt and it will cut for entire day of working with sticky pines. Perfectly happy.End of season update. I remain very pleased with this saw. Early starting problems were traced to not priming the motor well enough; the instructions suggest 6 priming pumps while I found a 7th made all the difference. Surprisingly touchy. The chain lubricating oil consumption is somewhat higher than normal for a chain saw. I recommend at the very least having oil, chain bar tool, and spare chain with you at all times. As for fuel, in my experience aluminum motors last longest when using gasoline (petrol) containing no alcohols, alcohols being rather corrosive if left in contact with aluminum metal for extended periods of time. I live in an area where one of the gas stations sells non-oxygenated racing fuel. This is the way to go if the option exists. Be certain to use a good grade of 2-cycle oil; I prefer synthetic. It the only thing between your saw and a long engine life.Chain blade life is average. If you are not all that well-versed on the subject, when the running saw blade comes in contact with the ground you should anticipate it dulling quickly. Installing a new chain blade is easier than the saws of the yore. Anticipate needing to tighten the new chain within about 10-15 minutes of cutting time.Spring is nearly here. Now that March has become April the snow will melt and soon the temperatures will remain above freezing at night. This chain saw will be called on once again to clear the seemingly endless stands of sumac, box elders, buckthorns, and oriental bittersweet which thrive all-to-well here in Minnesota. I have every expectation it will serve me well.

Great chain for general use
I'm a homeowner cutting 4-5 cord of firewood per year on my Husqvarna 350 with an 18" bar.I replaced a really old chain of the same type, which had been sharpened down to its limit. A new change is always very nice and fast cutting.I've always used the Husqvarna chains and never had any problem. I've sharpened them my self for quick sharpening or had an expert do it when I want it done better! Either way, they last a long time.I wish the package was a little easier to open. It looks like Husqvarna switched to non-plastic packaging, judging by my local hardware store (which didn't have this size).Update 5/12/20I added some pictures of the chain that I received in March 2020. Some reviewers have noted that the chain that they received was not a genuine Husqvarna chain and the gauge was bigger than the package indicated .050".The one that I received was clearly marked on the chain with Husqv and 30. Also the gauge seems correct because it fit the stock bar on my 350, which has .050 gauge.

OEM chain. Buy this.
There are two chains worth buying. OEM Husqvarna and Oregon. I have used OEM Husqvarna with ZERO issues since 2002. The cut angle and rake will slice through dry, green,, or rotting wood. As long as you have the pitch and size correct you will have no issues. These were a Father's Day gift as I had a lot of winter kill elm and hemlock to dispose of.There are "faster" chains out there but the potential kick-back and hazard makes them unsafe for the average user. I'm sure some pro woodsmen will have a different opinion, but for Joe Homeowner you can't go wrong with these. Be sure the chain fits - 66 links for a 16" bar, 72 links for an 18" bar, etc. Your Owner's Manual is your friend. Sometimes this information is stamped on the bar, more often it is not. Also be sure of chain pitch.

Great Chain for a Great Saw
I purchased some extra chains for the saw my husband uses to cut down firewood. These chains are high quality and they work with the high-quality saw that we've had for nearly 15 years. Glad to be able to easily purchase them here as the chainsaw shop we used to get supplies from has closed.
