3D Grand Trumps Tarot Deck

The 3D Grand Trumps major Arcana Tarot Deck has been a great addition to my collection. The cards are very high quality, easy to shuffle and to deal into a spread. The Rider-Waite-Smith-based images are highly stylized yet instantly recognizable. The visual 3D effect is stunning in-person and the images have real depth and movement as the viewpoint changes. Some of the imagery is a little racy and probably not suited below PG-13 or live online audiences. Highly recommended if looking for a unique RWS Major Arcana deck.

Just received my "TaroT 3D" (that's what the box says) and so far love it. I have over twenty tarot decks and this one is definitely unique in many different ways: yes, it is slightly tacky/kitschy on the surface, but gives you that warm feeling that you are looking at something that you have never seen before.Face and reverse side of the box have edge to edge 3D pictures of Justice and Magician - they look even better than the actual cards (I suspect that having non-3D border on cards spoils the illusion somehow). Cards are big and thick - thickness could be a problem if it was full deck, but since it only contains Major Arcana, no big deal.You have to experiment with light while examining card images - in poor conditions (such as low light level) the 3D effect may be hard to see clearly. Strong, dispersed light seems to bring out the best of the images. Even with the best light, some cards look better than the others - e.g. Fool and Chariot have slight fuzziness no matter how you look at them, Hermit and Justice always look good. Usually there are two angles (slightly off center) that give you the best viewing experience.Images are mostly traditional - with exception of Death that follows the pattern of Hierophant. Warning for those offended by nudity - no anatomical details are obscured on Lovers, Devil and Star.My favorite is Hermit - perfect balance of light and shadow, good composition, nice 3D effect. Star is almost a tie - mainly due to slightly less impressive 3D. Tower is the third - it is very dramatic and quite spectacular in 3D.Another unique feature of this deck is that traditionally 'scary' cards - Death, Devil, Tower - are not so scary thanks to 3D effect - you just admire technical detail so much that you have no time to think about the meaning of the card. Moon card is actually scarier/creepier thanks to the creature that replaced the crab in the front...I think it is perfect deck for beginners that are not ready for Minor Arcana yet - it should give them lots of joy. At least some of the cards should be good for meditation - 3D would make it easier to 'enter the picture'. I plan to use this deck as a warm-up during readings for newbies. I usually ask them to pick from the Majors one card they like and one they don't like - those choices can tell a lot about the querent and let me adjust the further reading appropriately.If you are reading in public environment this deck can give you (for a while) competitive advantage - you will be the guy/gal with 'cool cards'.To sum up - this deck may not be for everybody, but should be satisfying for most, You should see it personally - no photographic reproduction compares to the real experience.

The 3D Grand Trumps Tarot Deck is a beautiful all 22 major arcana spectacular three-dimensional deck. ..... BUT it is only the 22 major arcana and can not be accurately used for a Tarot readings.We hope that Davide Corsi will make all 78 cards into 3D for a full deck so that it can be used for accurate tarot readings.We would have given a 5 star rating if this deck was a complete 78 3D card Tarot deck.

I received them on time and as described. These cards are bigger than the standard tarot but easily shuffle and slide. The quality is definitely there! The holographic images are amazing! The Star card and the Moon card are haunting and beautiful. I use these for messages from spirit at the end of a reading. Beautiful addition to my collection and very fun!

These cards provide beautiful art while remaining faithful to the Rider Waite symbolism of this Tarot.The 3D Grand Trumps give a whole new meaning to an in-depth reading with an extra dimension thatmakes a reading even more amazing and fascinating. While it is not a full 78 card tarot deck, I canimagine the day when that will happen. It might even be possible to combine these cards with cardsfrom a compatible 2D deck.

I like lenticular things, but this one had problems. A few of the images have a well executed 3d effect, the Tower card for example has nice depth and composition. Other cards like the Devil don't look good- did they only use two stereo pair images on this one? It feels more like a mis-aligned pair than the series of frames properly aligned needed to create that 3d "look around" effect.Also, 3d aside, these are some conceptually generic takes on the major arcana. It makes me wish a better, more inspired artist would attempt a 3d lenticular tarot as this feels so boring and retro and bland. If you weren't buying specifically for the 3d there would be no reason to buy this one at all, and even the 3d might leave you wanting on many images.

When I first learned about this deck, naturally I was curious. I ordered it based upon the several reviews I read basically giving it a "thumbs up". Once received I was eagerly anticipating the 3D application but when I began studying the cards I was disappointed. The images,(all Major Arcana - NO minor cards in this deck) while living up to their 3D promise, still strike me as static and lacking the dynamic quality which was hoped for. The images themselves, while certainly in keeping with the traditional portrayals of all the major archetypes struck me as "been there, seen that". I did not particularly care for the way the figures in each trump card were rendered. They lacked expression, inventiveness and seemed rather flat in general. For all the extra expense that went into the creation of this deck, one might expect a tad bit more originality in the creation of the imagery! By comparison, the recently published "Tarot Illuminati" by Erik C. Dunne and Kim Huggens, trumps this 3D deck in every way! It is a superior example of what it means to inject a tarot deck with true originality and energy. While that deck is NOT a 3D deck, it communicates in a very exciting way the quality and experience of "energy" more forcefully than "Tarot 3D". For those of you who enjoy working solely with the Major cards, this deck might be a fun alternative however generally speaking, is not the "blow your mind" deck which was anticipated.

I have to give these 5 stars because on the whole the cards are amazing, however there are just a few that are fuzzy and have to be held at an angle to achieve the clear 3D effect, whereas the others are obviously 3D when looking at them face on. Still a wonderful product that adds depth and beauty to Tarot Thank you.
