OXO Salt and Pepper Shaker Set, Clear, Stainless Steel

We had a set of these shake and pour shakers from OXO that we purchased years ago and did great for us. You have to sometimes remember that you have the pour spout open, which seems to be hard for some of my kids :). When one took a tumble and broke, we finally had to replace them, and I went right back to OXO because it's a dependable brand and a high quality item. The design is slightly different than the past one but it looks great. Easy to clean, never rusted, and is the perfect size for regular use. Having the pour spout lets me use it for cooking if I need to, but I generally just pour directly from the salt container now. It's still a nice feature to have. All in all a great salt and pepper shaker set.

First of all, I looked at these because I love OXO - and have always been happy with my OXO purchases. (and still am!) I needed to replace my kitchen salt and pepper shakers because a family member admitted they didn't like coarse ground pepper. (Yeah I know! Can you imagine??) They asked if we could have 'normal' pepper on the table. Thus - my search for a shaker instead of a grinder! The shakers are sturdy. Yes they are plastic but they are clear and visually pleasing. The holes in shakers are wide enough to give a decent shake AND the salt shaker WILL dispense fine sea salt. (I didn't mind changing peppers but I refuse to give up my sea salt. ) The side spouts are great for cooking/ baking. I haven't had any problems with mine. They are easy to open and easy to fill. No cons. I love these and will probably order a set for each of my kids! UPDATE FEB 2015- I have been using these for 2 years now and still love them and have not had ANY problems with the spouts. Best shaker set I have ever owned. If they do wear out eventually, I WILL order another set.

I recently purchased this salt and pepper shaker set, and overall, I'm quite pleased with it. The cap feature to shake or pour is incredibly helpful when I'm cooking in the kitchen, allowing for precise seasoning without any mess. However, I must admit that the clear acrylic material is not as high quality as I had hoped. I wish it was a little more sturdy, as it feels a bit flimsy at times. Despite this minor drawback, the functionality of the shakers is excellent, making them a handy addition to my kitchen arsenal.

This purchase is a replacement set for me, that's how much I like these shakers. All I can say is, don't put them in the dishwasher. The spout on the side is so convenient for measuring out salt and pepper or pouring salt, like into pasta water. The lid is nice and tight, and the salt doesn't clump with moisture. The set is modern an stylish without being overly designed, just useful and sturdy.

These shakers are exactly what I wanted. I like how they are pretty and functional. It is nice to see right through them to know when they are getting low and need to be replenished. But, I also love the pour spout they have on the lids. Very convenient when I need to fill a measuring spoon without spilling.

They are on the smaller side, which is what I was looking for so they don't take up much counter space, but their capacity is definately enough! i love the clear acrylic (they are not glass) you can see through them so you can manage when to refill or clean. They are super super handling friendly!! Like they just fit in my hands so well!! More holes for pepper and less holes for salt. They're simple, yet practical, and pretty (for S&P Shakers Lol). BEST PART is the little pour spout on the side!!! OMG i just love it!! Easily accessible for bigger jobs!! I love these not over the top, yet awesome shakers!! I'm going to buy more sets for other spices I use regularly. I Recommend!!

Le faite que l'ont puisse saupoudrer par le dessus ou verser une plus grosse dose fait tout dans cette ensemble (pratique je trouve surtout avec le sel). Plus grand aurait encore été mieux ( je trouve), mais qd même hyper pratique au quotidien d'avoir un bel ensemble qui peut aussi bien aller au bord de la cuisson que sur la table ensuite.

I wanted a quality salt & pepper shaker. This one was perfect. OXO's products are generally great quality.

Have been looking for salt and pepper pourers for a long time rather than grinders. These are better than just a pourer with the added spout to enable measuring for cooking. Well done Oxo grips.
