I was looking for sometime to get a throttle cruise lock for my Harley Davidson motorcycle, I always take some time to see reviews and pros and cons from other consumers experiences to take the proper decision on what to get to satisfy my needs at the best price. I saw the Atlas Throttle Lock, the 7CP06 Cruise Control, the Dr Cruize 42121 and this product, the Barefoot Willies.I said, I will get the Atlas or the 7CP06 because it seems like they are good quality and fit good on my Harley, nope, I saw installation process and how bulky they look on other motorcycles (you can find videos on YouTube) and then I thought, well let’s give a chance to those cheap products and see if I do not regret my decision later, so I selected the Barefoot Willies to start with.Cost benefit:7CP06 $219 usdAtlas $165 usdDr. Cruize $19.99 usdThis option, Barefoot Willies $11.95 usdBetween the expensive ones and the Barefoot you will at least save $150 dollars that you can use to get other accessories for your motorcycle.Design:This thing is specially designed for your Harley, this fits perfectly fine on your existing thumbscrew throttle lock. It integrates with the esthetics of your motorcycle as a seamless addition, in comparison to the other 2 expensive throttle cruise lockers that will make your handlebar grip look bulky.Installation:It took to me 2 seconds to install it plus 30 seconds to bring the thumbscrew lock to the correct tighten position before snap it into place.The product comes with installation instruction, ease to follow. Also you can see videos on YouTube that will explain the installation process and the throttle cruise lock position before you snap this product on the existing thumbscrew lock.Does it works?Dude! This thing is a game changer. Easy to turn on and off, the throttle is locked in the position and keeps the speed you want. Yes, this works perfect.Is it convenient?Once it is in on position it will let you stretch your arm and get a rest or get something to drink on the way, so yes this is very convenient.Quality:It looks like this product is molded with a type of resine that will not brake easily. I was trying to bent it in purpose to test the quality of it and it did not brake or get distorted. I would not like to brake it when I apply force to get it in the ON position while riding and then not been able to unlock the throttle. This would be a very bad situation for you if that happens but looks like this is not going to brake. Also the brand claims for it on their product advertisements.As a consumer, I am providing my honest review of this product with the intention to bring other riders the benefit of this game changer product. Works perfectly once you correct Harley's flaws. #1: you need to sand of any casting ridges on the hand grip throttle tube and rough up area that the friction shoe will contact. #2: You must sand the friction shoe to remove voids to allow more surface area to contact the throttle tube. This is very simple to do and doesn't take much time. However, you will be rewarded with an exceptional throttle locking system.

it is really easy to install, works great, it is really easy to use while on the road. The only thing I dislike is that it is made of plastic. I would have liked it more If it was made of another material aluminum or something else. Other than that everything is great about it.

I’ve been looking for something similar to a cruise control for my 01 FXDL and was originally looking at Throttle Locks when a buddy told me to look into this Throttle Tender. Just off my initial impression from getting this Throttle Tender in today, I’m very excited for it. The instructions provided were simple and the product looked very well manufactured. Installation took a little over a minute which even then could have been faster because it took me a little bit to adjust the throttle to best suit this Throttle Tender. Though, I have yet to try it out, I’m pretty confident that is exactly what I was look for! Thank you to Barefoot Willies for the solid transaction and product!***UPDATE***This Throttle Tender works perfect!!!! It’s super easy to engage and disengage while riding. It’s going to make long rides so much more enjoyable!

Easy to install. Just does not work as well as I expected. It's plastic so not sure how long it will hold up. Seems OK so far.

~I gave this product five [5] stars because it's a simple and ingenious idea.I was very excited to finally have a device to assist in using my five point star thumb screw as a "cruise control" for my Harley-Davidson Fatboy Lo.However, as much as I tried, I could not get this throttle control assist to work properly. My motorcycle kept slowing down when I engaged it OR would speed up too much if I tried to use it more tightly adjusted. This was very frustrating. Could not find a middle ground to get it to work properly.I still think its a great idea though. It just needs to be tweaked by the manufacturer or by me.I have to give Barefoot Willies GREAT KUDOS though because when I contacted them about the problem, they tried to make suggestions and said that if it didn't work to my satisfaction they were very eager to refund my money.Way to go Barefoot Willies!! I trust you because of your positive customer service attitude.I ordered two [2] of these suckers and the first one finally broke when I tried to remove it for further adjustment. It may not be built for multiple adjustments.I still have my spare and will not give up on trying to get it to work, again, because I love the concept.You can feel safe buying from Barefoot Willies because they will make every effort to help you and offer [ without being asked ] to refund your money if you are not completely satisfied.The only thing i can say negative about Barefoot Willies is that they were a tiny bit defensive about this product and made it sound like there was something wrong with me because it did not work well by stating that no one else had a problem with it.So, it's just me? I highly doubt it. But, you still have my trust due to the alacrity of your offer to refund my money.Tweak the design and make the materials a little more "bullet-proof" because I was not rough on it while removing it from my five [5] star thumb cruise control.You still very much deserve the five [5] stars I gave you and the product for the great concept and customer service.Just don't insult the next customer by making them feel like the only person in the world with a problem with this product.
