very usefull for travelling … food like home

It's compact, and very comfortable to use since the plate is wider and shorter (less deep too) than other rice cookers. So there's more surface getting hot.Temperature control is great, you can cook at slow pace and save some electricity. Also the food tastes better when cooked slowly.2 plates: I don't use much the grill but it's actually handy and you can even do some dosha or fry paneer.Transparent lid: you can see the food without opening and losing temperature.Perfect for 1 or 2, won't do if you want more than that.All the materials are of good quality considering the price.I don't give the 5th star because the plate doesn't have a handle so to remove it you need a cloth. This is something that could be improved in the design.Overall, I truly recommend this product.It looks too cute in the kitchen.

After lots of comparing, I finally thought of investing in this one, because even if it is a bit high priced, it had the extra option of grill tray.I am so so happy with this purchase now. Bought it as we were travelling to Europe with my 2 yr old kid, I was doubtful if my son would eat the local food there or not, so purchased this one to cook food for him. Here is my review1) Size - slightly bigger to be called portable, a separate bag has to be carried just for this during travellinv. 10 inch diameter. But still ok and manageable2) temperature control - Superb3) Cooking - I cooked maggi, besan chilla, masala oats, pancakes, thick dosa from readymade mix. these were cooked perfectly and in no time. Eg, maggi in 3,4 minutes in rice container, chilla - one side 2 minutes in grill pan etc.Just you need to be careful and use your experience in controlling temperature from high to medium and low and back to medkum, just like in normal cooking.4) Non-stick coating is ok as all these chila dosas were cooked even in very little oil nd did not stick.Cleaning the grill pan is scraping the non-stick coating, so I guess we should be careful with that.

I am writing this review after using this product for 3 months.Overall it's a good product but the cookware quality is pretty average. The coating on the cookpans fades away. You can't buy a new cookpan from anywhere.

This product is not worth buying at all. Ordered it a few months back. After a couple of uses it stopped working. Customer service keeps on checking for updates if you contact them but there is no real outcome or help. You can get it repaired but their technician is hard to reach and you need to go travel to his workplace to get it fixed which is too far away in my case. It is a very costly product but the quality is not at all good as this product did not even last a month. It is not worth buying at all. Can't give them zero stars so leaving just one star.

First of all I would like to thank for such a nice product from SHEFFIELD, i was looking for small portable electric cooker i found this matching to my requirement not too big and meets the requirement of cooking for 2-3 members and easy to carry in suitcase for air travel. Coming to how useful it isBeing a vegetarian we have limited options during international trip , even if we get that it would be very expensive. So this is a complete package if you are budget traveller/vegetarian/want healthy home cooked food/to prepare baby foodJust carry some 1kg of rice(for week) with ready mix and few packages of ready to eat just takes 20-30 min to cook.If you want one portable cooker for travel just go for it.Note: Not sure about regular usage but for occasional travel usage it works well.

Good portable product. I purchase for my daughter studying in Kota . Easily make maggi, soup, rice, khichadi. Pin is of 5 amp which is almost available in all rooms. Cooking time is 15 to 20 min. Make nobe between low to medium temp. Which is almost sufficient to cook. You can place on table. Cord length is sufficient. Pot are of alum. with sufficient gauge. My advice to buyer to add half water in first and then half after to prevent from over flow from lid. Be careful of steam coming from lid vent. Good product for students and for travel purposes. The media could not be loaded. This multi cooker has been my saviour during my hostel life. Its very compact, light weight and quick cooking. I purchased this after a lot of research. A major advantage in this multicooker versus a rice cooker is, you can also prepare "tadka/ seasoning" ..its just like cooking on a gas stove but without the fire. I was able to cook delicious food on a small study desk kitchen setup in 1.5ftx1.5ft area ... Except frying you can pretty much cook everything. Best part is, its power rating is 600W which is much lower than an electric kettle.Cleaning is very easy due to non-stick nature of the pans. Only downside is, the deep pan is delicate and you will dent it easily if you press the laddle too hard while stirring.I have been recommending this item to all my friends staying in hostel/ temporary accommodation. Truely value for money.
