Easy install, high quality parts, brake seems to do the job quite well. It does come with a long cable and cable housing so if you going to buy this make sure you have something to trim those or just another cable that you could install. I really like how the brake lever opens up so i dont have to remove your grip for install. Fits fantastic and looks clean

Bought a Mongoose bike for my son that had the worst brakes but otherwise a pretty cool bike for the $$. These are great quality and could not have been easier to install if you've ever worked on your own bikes before. If you haven't, get your local bike shop to put them on or look up one of the many videos on how to install BMX brakes. Came with everything I needed and only required some basic tools - would have been a bit better if I'd had a proper cable cutter but basic wire cutters worked well enough. Brakes work 100% better than originals and the lever is way easier for my little guy to pull.

Wonderful kit, easy to install and looks amazing

I removed the brakes from my BMX when I first got it but then decided that I would like to run brakes again. This kit was the most reasonably priced one from a reputable company so I figured I would give it a go. Installing these was a breeze and they come with absolutely everything you need. This is great because you don't have to buy cables separately. The brakes feel good with the compression-less housing. This helps stiffen up the cabling so it is a lot firmer than a normal brake. As far as braking performance it will stop you and doesn't squeal excessively however they are definitely not strong enough with the stock pads for brake tricks however I'm sure some better pads would help that. Overall for the price they are a good set of brakes just don't expect them to stop on a dime.

Great universal kit. Now I will say because it is a kit that fits many different bikes and not every frame is the same you will need to mount the lever and calipers on first then route the cable to finally cut the brake cable and sheathing to fit. Other wise perfect stops on a dime.

I have a Spitfire BMX bike and this set up was super easy to install and the cables are easily cut to length to match the bike. Comes with caps for the sleeve and cable that are easily crimped to create a clean factory look. Brakes are spring loaded so are super smooth and retract when you release the lever. Does not come with and adjustment screw for the frame, but is not a deal breaker for me. Would recommend to anyone.

Brilliant and effective, stops on a dime. Has everything you need to hook it up, just have your tools ready. Installation was a piece of cake because the arms are held open via spring, making the tension easy to adjust -- no spring bolts necessary. This saves like half the work. The pads are interesting, they're fat and short but sleek and mean business. The pads are also designed so that they toe-in properly -- there's even an arrow printed on the brake pad to help you point it in the right direction. The price is right and the thing just works like a charm. Finally saying goodbye to my deadly stock brakes!

It’s a great set of brakes. But, the picture makes it look like it comes with the small round bead at the end so that you can use on your gyro. It does not. You have to order an entirely different cable to use this with the London adapter. Also, it does. Or come with enough parts to use it as a front brake. It does not come with the barrel adjustment adapter. You have to order that directly from Odyssey or an online bike parts store. The adapter only cost around $3, but it’s a real inconvenience when you realize you’re missing parts and have to order and wait for days for it to come in. Also, there is no front brake instructions at all, anywhere! Not even on the odyssey website. So you waste time doing research to find out that you’re missing the adapter.

Installed this on my sons BMX a few years ago. He loves the bike and uses it always. This brake is exactly what we needed. thx

Ce kit n'est pas l'Evo 2 de chez Odyssey mais bel et bien l'ancien model Springfield beaucoup moins efficace et nettement moins cher. Le prix d'achat sur amazon pour ce modèle est proche du double en réalité. Nous sommes vraiment deçu et nous retournons le colis a l'envoyeur. Prochaine commande sur un site plus fiable en termes de références pour le BMX Je m'adresse aussi aux personnel d'Amazon de bien modifier le titre et de bien correspondre avec l'article, SVP.
