Quick healthy yummy meal

I've been eating the red lentil squash flavor for a week now and it's really delicious. For a packaged meal that you just heat and eat, this is among the best in flavor, quality, and healthfulness. It tastes homemade and when you really need something easy and convenient, you appreciate that quality in a product. The portion is just right - I pour some water into the bag after emptying it into a saucepan and add that because I like it more soupy. I'm going to keep these stocked in my pantry and I want to try the other flavors, but I love this one so much that I'm going to have to burn myself out on it before switching to another flavor.

Maya Kaimal products are tasty. I use them to mix with leftovers to make soup. The only downside is the price - about $5 for 10 oz - makes two small portions. The company used to make a very good butternut squash soup, but has stopped all production.

Delicious! I have food allergies and have a hard time finding processed food that I can eat, because I am also picky about my ingredients. This is gluten and dairy free. It is one of my new favorite lunches

This is so good! My box arrived yesterday and I waited until today to try it. I am what I call a closeted vegetarian. What that means is that I tend to gravitate towards more plant based or mostly plant based meals but I do eat meat/eggs/cheese. So I am always on the lookout for something plant based, yummy, easy to make/use and organic ... this product checks ALL my requirements. I have been making kitchari which I love but the prep time is long and I always want it spur of the moment (soaking the dal and rice for 24 hours prior to cooking). So this is an excellent swap for me. Today I had this for lunch with two sunny side up eggs (cooked in coconut oil), salt/pepper/dash of hot sauce and it was so delicious and filling (I haven’t eaten since dinner, only black coffee, exercise, and working from home prior to lunch) and this meal will last me until dinner. As a former Keto person I love protein and fat so this works for me! Glad I bought two boxes!

I love the flavor of these and buy often

I bought a single one of these on Target.com to try it out and it was great. I loved it. i also bought a pouch of Seed of Change Quinoa Brown and Red Rice with Flax seed to put it on. After heating it, I poured it out of the pouch onto the rice and it was moist and bright yellow/orange. Like thick pea soup. So..... I ordered a box of six on Amazon and there was something wrong with all six pouches in the box. The expiration date was 9 months from now so they were not expired. After heating for 90 seconds, it would not pour out of the pouch. I had to get a kitchen knife to run around both sides of the solid discolored lump in the pouch to get it on the plate. It came out in one big piece. It was dark brown on the outside and only looked yellow/orange on the inside when I broke it up to take a closer look at it. It was dry and did not flow at all. I tasted a little bit of the first pouch and it did not taste like the single pouch I ordered from Target did. It left a sour taste in my mouth and the texture was different, very dry and chalky. I did not taste from the other five pouches in the box but they looked exactly the same. I was really looking forward to adding this to my meal rotation since the first pouch was very tasty and had a great texture. Not sure if I will give this a second chance if the quality is this variable as it is pretty expensive ($30+ for a six pack). Too bad. Back to my Tasty Bite favorites. Not eligible for return and a red flag on the my first experiment with the Maya Kaimal brand. FAIL!!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! Tossed these in the garbage as I don't think it would safe to eat them even in an emergency and don't want the temptation if I get to the bottom of my food stores and this is what is left. Better to starve than to eat something that might make me sick.
