Kindle Version from OSNOVA Publishing
I own the three-volume hardback version of this concise and informative Bible commentary, and have used it profitably over the past years. When I noticed that a Kindle version had become available -- and that OSNOVA is the e-book designer -- I immediately made the purchase and loaded it onto my e-reader.What you end up with is a KJV Bible with verse-by-verse links to the accompanying JFB commentary -- so, this has become a primary reading Bible for me. It is also possible to read the extensive introductory material within the JFB -- for each chapter and for various larger sections of the Bible. I use OSNOVA's Bible Encyclopedia (ISBE) as my default Kindle dictionary while reading this study Bible, which means I have a full commentary as well as a vast encyclopedia in support of an e-reader Bible. Just an amazing value at five bucks. Finally, I must say that OSNOVA is by far the best e-book designer I've come across. Most of their publications are laboriously linked to a bundled KJV, with internal linking provided for footnotes and other study helps.I just can't say enough about this particular e-book offering, or about OSNOVA in general. Highest recommendation.

J.F.& B Stands for Just the Finest Brief Commentary on the Bible
If there's a better one-volume commentary on every book of the Bible--that concisely and eruditely examines Scripture in the light of conservative, Reformed biblical scholarship and also offers a readable, reliable guide to God's Word that is also affordable--I haven't found it yet!Yes, there are more up-to-date commentaries. There are also older ones (Matthew Henry, Matthew Poole, etc.) of a more "devotional" quality. And, obviously, this is not an "exhaustive," in-depth commentary to rival multi-volume sets like New International, Pulpit, etc.--it's not meant to. But, J, F and B gives you, I think, the most exegetical bank for the buck and more faithful, "Bible-believing", instructional value per page than any other concise commentary that I know of. Even Matthew Henry! So quit dawdling and get a copy of this.

Still great!! Review by Pastor Dennis Stewart
I have most of the best of the best in current Bible commentaries of the New and Old Testaments, however, I still find myself reaching for this one time after time. I have had the 3 volume set for many years and still love the detail presented and the heart with which it is presented. It is packed full of historical information as well as Greek/ Hebrew definitions and is excellent in all of the other additional information it provides. Despite it's age, it is a MUST have for ministers or ANYONE serious about God's Word. In my opinion, it will always be a timeless classic for all those who are seeking to enrich their lives with not only the information of God's Word, but also assisting in understanding HIM better and drawing them closer to HIM (that's really what it's all about anyway). I've just recently bought this one volume of JFB for my mother and can't wait to see what she thinks. God bless you as you seek HIS Presence.

Gives a really good interpretation of the scriptures
Gives a really good interpretation of the scriptures. It would be easier to understand if the interpretations were given a verse at a time or even a passage instead of in phrases. The Through the bible is the best commentary but it leaves out a lot of scripture while this one doesn't. I like being able to read scripture and then access the commentary with just a touch on my Kindle. This one is easy to look up particular scriptures with.

The JFB commentary at your fingertips: What a blessing!!!
I love the Bible. I love reading the Bible. I love studying God's Word. And now having the Jamieson Fausset and Brown Commentary on the Whole Bible as part of my Kindle library...I see this as a great blessing for Bible study. I do own Matthew Henry's commentary (6-volume complete set) as well as Gill's. I happen to be a bit partial towards the JFB. But let me just close by adding that this is a MUST ADD to your Kindle library if you are or desire to be a student of God's Word through regular Bible study.

Word by word commentary, not my preference
I purchased the Kindle edition. Navigation is acceptable and comparable to other Kindle commentaries. I am very thankful to be able to hold a library of enormous books in the palm of my hand. This commentary is not as comprehensive as I would like. It parses out each verse word by word, and explains the meaning and sometimes the context of each word. While this approach has value, I wish this commentary went on to discuss whole verses or passages as they fit together. I also purchased Believer's Bible Commentary and the Matthew Henry commentary for my Kindle, both of which I enjoy.Overall, I would recommend purchasing this commentary, but probably in conjunction with others as it is quite condensed. It is inexpensive and is useful in examining the language of the passage.

Jamieson, Fausset and Brown-still the best
The Jamieson, Fausset and Brown Bible Commentary offers the best information available to the layman or the serious Bible student. Be prepared to really think about what you are reading to digest the amazingly well thought out and well written material by JFB. You cannot skim over it and hope to make good sense about the subject you are studying. Missing just one word in the text can lead you down the wrong path. Study it, digest it, apply it to your life, make notes from it, prepare Bible-based sermons on it, and you will be hard-pressed to find better material. It has held, I believe, prime status since the 1870's, and continues to do so today. If you are serious about Bible study, the Jamieson, Fausset and Brown Commentary will be of great assistance. Amazon.com offers some of the best prices in the country on this great addition to your library.

commentary for you
it appears to be a good commentary. I have it on a kindle and it's extremely hard to move around on, so if you can buy the book, not the kindle version. I find the kindle extremely cumbersome for this book, and this book only. the kindle is great for other books where you don't have to move around in so much. This commentary gives great insights to the times and cultures.

jamieson, Fausset, and Brown,s Commentary on the whole bible
This is a excellent Commentary for the Bible student, I am always drawn to the writings of Charles Spurgeon, but this is recommended by him, and now I have it I can see why, easy to navigate, and full of great truths, would recommend this for anyone eager to learn more about the Word of God.

Recommended
Second to none for reformed scholarship, even better and better balanced than the reformers, themselves. It's readable and well written. I've used the book version for years and the Amazon kindle version is excellent.

Solid commentary
A good solid conservative commentary which should be a great help to anyone who wishes to dig into the meaning of the Hebrew and Greek text. Found this Kindle edition reasonably easy to navigate. All at a bargain price as well.

Great to have on my kindle
I once owned a hard copy of this excellent Bible commentary, but had to leave it in NZ when I moved to UK, as it is a very heavy book.I was delighted to find it on Kindle, & so glad to once again have access to this resource.
