Nothing else of this thickness is warmer for winter. One small design flaw that can be DIY fixed.
Size ordered: M71.75" / 5.97' feet tall, 190lbs, average build male, exactly 41" chest around nipples with full inhale. It's soooo warm. Awesome for cold western Oregon winter days, but too warm to wear under coveralls with pants in the shop once spring arrives, so I'm not using it anymore except when the ice is frozen on my trucks windshield, or maybe for a long motorcycle trip or sedentary outdoor activity - which requires much more insulation than being active.Like another reviewer said, the rear access is cut for a T-rex, there's no chance you can get your ass out of that thing without stretching the whole thing excessively, as I recall. I might sew it shut and cut it lower, as I like this suit for protecting against wind drafts and keeping all my heat in.I'm 6' tall, average build, and medium fits me just about perfectly. The fleece is thin-ish, I'd say medium. Durable fluffyness that doesn't pill off on the inside, and smooth knit on the outside. It still keeps me warm when wet-ish, and cools so quickly that it gives an evaporative cooling effect if you get sweaty in it. If I start to overheat, to avoid this, I unzip it and roll it around my waist. At this price, I'm giving it 5 stars, because I research and compare everything I buy extensively, and this is the best one for this price range, afaik. The small design flaw of the flap can be corrected easily, and most importantly, it fits like a body glove and keeps me warm as a toaster, and adaptable for quick cooling with the front zipper. It would be nice if the zipper was a little thinner, but they did cover it with soft fabric. Zipper is YKK - very high quality.Suppliers, I am interested in becoming a reviewer, offering brutally honest in depth reviews and pictures on new products supplied to me for review.

Designed for a T-Rex. Should be called medium weight at best.
UPDATE 01/01/2016:I wore this union suit as a base layer that I never removed in temperatures as low as -11F for several days. I now have a more favorable opinion, even if most of my initial criticisms stand. I still think it is too thin, and the cut is a bit odd. I can't speak to actual long term durability, but I'm not hopeful. I can say that durable or not, it is probably too thin to be considered a proper thermal in the traditional sense. The amount of heat that is retained seems negligible. However, the reason I added a star to bring this up to 3 stars from the original 2 is that it is an excellent moisture management layer. The wicking and sweat transport properties of the material were exceptionally apparent during periods of high activity, while I found I needed an extra mid-layer when more sedentary compared to other thermals. It was excellent as night time attire in my sleeping bag, where I would normally wear as little as possible no matter the temperature.Unless I have a widely different experience in the future, I would recommend this union suit as a base layer in temperatures which would require a base layer and in situations which you expect to be relatively active.ORIGINAL REVIEW:5'7" Male, 160lbs. My legs are probably slightly bigger than average, my arms slightly smaller, yet this is tight in the arms and very loose in the legs. The overall length is pretty good, but the rear trapdoor is oddly high. I'm afraid this was designed for a T-Rex with a butt in the middle of its back. The expedition weight descriptor is advertising bluster at best. I own military polypropylene (two piece) thermals and they are at least 5 times thicker. This is so thin that I worry it may wear holes quickly, even as a base layer.I will update this review when I get the chance to use these in subzero temperatures next month, but at this point I'm not hopeful.

Pretty good and cheap
I bought this to wear under my drysuit for whitewater kayaking. I have a front relief zipper in my drysuit so I like that this can be unzipped from the bottom of the zipper, giving me access to use my pStyle funnel. My only complaint is that it could be a little warmer--I'd like an option for thicker fleece so I don't have to add an extra layer when it's colder. It's well worth the price, though.I'm 5'8" and wear a women's size 16. I got the men's XL. I was afraid it was going to be enormous, but it's actually okay. The length of the torso and legs are off for me, but the extra fabric in the torso gives me the full range of motion for lifting my arms overhead, etc. I just had to cut a few inches off the sleeves.

Perfect for cold days!
Super warm and comfortable for cold days. I am a Wilderness Search And Rescue instructor, and this keeps me warm all day, as part of my layering system. My only two complaints are it’s Little tight around the neck, and can be a little tight with my layers, but the good definitely outweighs the bad. My only other issue is the “back door” can be a little cumbersome and sometimes doesn’t tuck in properly, causing a little draft. Overall a very worthwhile purchase…

Great fit for Short and Stocky
I am one of those builds that is hard to fit. I'm 5'8", with a short 29" inseam, no butt, and big belly! I am very broad shouldered, measuring 54" in the chest, and 18" biceps. A long life of hard labor, which I still do, working outside everyday. I bought another union suit, and it was typical fit for me in the size of 2x, and did not fit well at all. I bought the Terramar in the 2x, and it fits me very well. The dual zipper allows for bathroom visits without having to disrobe. So unzipping from the bottom or top is no problem. The horizontal flap across the back is elastic, with no buttons or velcro, which when you're dressed for winter, with multiple layers restricting shoulder and arm flexibility, make life much easier. The cut on the suit allows for a good fit around my big stomach without pulling the crotch up and jamming your business! Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. Temperature today was 35 degrees with a 20 mph north wind, and I didn't have to wear my coveralls. Just my jeans and long sleeve shirt over the union suit. That allowed for much more mobility.
