Anne of Green Gables (Wordsworth Collector's Editions)

Anne of Green Gables has been my lifelong favorite book, and it is one I return to and reread often. This hardback edition is absolutely stunning and feels especially fitting for such a beloved story. The cover features a lovely image that perfectly captures Anne’s whimsical, imaginative spirit, and the gold embossed lettering adds an elegant touch that makes the book feel like a keepsake rather than simply another copy for the bookshelf. I especially love giving this edition as a baby shower or new-baby gift to families welcoming a little girl. It is my hope that as she grows, she will not only develop a love of reading, but will also discover some of the wonderful lessons Anne has given generations of readers—to dream and imagine, treasure friendship and family, learn from your mistakes, forgive others, and never lose the ability to find beauty and possibility in the world around you. The photo included with my review shows the personal message I inscribe inside each copy I give to a new baby girl in our family. It has become a special little tradition and makes an already beautiful book even more meaningful to me. This is truly a gorgeous edition of a timeless story and a gift that can be treasured from childhood through adulthood. Absolutely 5 stars. ❤️📚

So beautiful! Came clean and not used. Great buy!

This edition of Anne Of Green Gables makes me want to collect all the different classic novels made by this book company. It has such a precious hardback cover and the story is told just as it was written. This book has always been a favorite of mine and how I wish the book publisher would also publish the other books on Anne. They are compact but full of you can get what I mean. Thick novels but in a smaller size. If I had a child I swear I’d buy all the classics published by this book company and have them line a shelf in my child’s room. My dad always loved books and, though he always saved money by borrowing books from the library I think even he would find these worthy of buying and keeping and even gifting to the next generation of readers in anyone’s family. Seriously, if you have kids, get all these books. I plan on starting a collection even though I was not able to have children. It is gift worthy and will be treasured for years to come.

THESE ARE REALLY GOOD CARDS. I AM 89 AND I GAVE ONE TO MY 89 YEAR OLD FRIEND FOR HER BIRTHDAY. iT WAS SO FUNNY ABOUT 2 OLD LADIES. i CAN'T REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT IT SAID BUT WE REALLY BOTH HAD A GOOD LAUGH OVER IT.

I’ve loved this book since I was a little girl, and this edition is just beautiful! Anne is a must read character

Loved the quality of the cover.

I love this book so much and wanted to give it 5 stars. It however came with some indentations on the cover.

This is such a cute version of the classic Anne of Green Gables. The printing is good, and the book is lightweight.

First off: Beautiful cover! And the print is very nice to read. Pages aren’t see through. I have had this book for years and have funny taken it up again to read it til the end and it just came to mind, years after i had bought it that the physical edition is actually and amazing book: I had always had this beautiful book laying neatly on the nightstand of my bedroom, right under a window. Now one hot summer day I had completely opened that bedroom window and left the room to go about my day and just forget about that open window. Some time in the evening we had a huge thunderstorm and I of course closed all the windows…I could remember. Way later when it was time to go to bed I walk into my bedroom to see the rain still pouring into the room; bed, nightstand AND book completely drenched. I did the best i could to save all my stuff from the storm. I never really thought much more about the incident except my carelessness. But looking at it now its amazing that book was still in such great condition considering it was sitting in the rain for such a long time. In real life you cant even tell its been damaged at first glance. And the whole inside of the book looks untouched, its just the edges that are a little rubbed off.

My grandson had to do a review of this book for school. He is not a fan of homework, so I bought the book and read it so I could help him. He asked his mother if he could get the book too. So together we were able to talk to one another about Anne of Green Gables and we swapped ideas about what he should write. I actually enjoyed the story as well.

Le livre est très beau visuellement, j’adore cette histoire. J’ai adoré le relire en anglais.

Libro muy bonito, llegó cuando se estipuló y no tenía ni un rasguño.

Finally found a hard bound and beautiful version of my childhood favourite. The book will never stop growing on me
