I suffered most of my life from very severe dandruff situation, to the point where I began losing my hair because of this chronic problem. I consulted the issue with several doctors, I tried basically all the products I could place my hands on, and spent a lot of money on supposedly highly recommended professional treatments. To my great frustration, not only nothing helped easing the dandruff situation, but some products even aggravated my already bad situation. About a year and a half ago, I heard about Kamedis and decided to give it a try. I was absolutely shocked by the amazing and immediate results, and I am still shocked today, such a long time after I have found this life-saving product. After my first use of the Shampoo my dandruff reduced by 80%, and by the end of the first week or two, the dandruff disappeared for good. I could not believe it. After so many years of suffering and so many failures with other products, this Shampoo is nothing less than a miracle. In order to support the shampoo's effect I also purchased the corresponding Scalp Lotion by Kamedis, and I found it extremely effective in accompanying the shampoo. This is the only product I stumbled upon that had an ever lasting effect on my dandruff chronic situation. I am using the shampoo regularly and I am 100% dandruff clean since the day I began using Kamedis' Therapy Shampoo. It works, but it takes a while to get used to. I was used to using T-Gel but now can't find it. I have tried a few recommendations from my dermatologist, but none of them worked, so I reordered this. It's the best my head has felt for a while, and I've only used it once.

I've been using this shampoo for about 3 weeks now and it's working great. I had previously used DHS, which worked well for years, but recently started losing its effectiveness, so I looked for something new. Kamedis so far keeps the itchiness away in between washes (every other day) and the flakes are much less now. Seborrhea never gave me a lot of flakes, it was always more the itch and the crusting that bothered me, so something to keep it toned down is essential. I will keep using Kamedis as long as it's effective, and just hope it stays effective for a long time.

I have pretty severe Seborrheic Dermatitis (SD) on my scalp, ears and face. I tried this zinc shampoo to calm it down and keep it away. It did help with that, actually, by making my additional Vitamin C treatment (below) last longer. HOWEVER, after about 3 uses, in 3 weeks, I had loose hair wrapped around my fingers in the shower, and was able to pull more out from the ends. There is thinning at my temples too. I know this symptom well because it also happened 10 years ago with prescription ketoconazole shampoo (Nizoral.) Unfortunately, back then, I didn't realize what was happening for over a year, and my hair thinned quite a bit. (FYI: I was also rinsing with vinegar and water at the time.) I discontinued ketoconazole, and started mixing 1/8 tsp baking soda into unmedicated shampoo (in my hand, right in the shower) and letting it sit while I soaped up. I did this 3x/week. I saw new hair growth sprouting at my temples within 2 weeks. Baking soda was terrible for my hair (dry and frizzy), but better than losing it all. I also discontinued the vinegar rinses.... ...Update after reading back what I wrote: In both situations I was using a very acidic product after washing with the medicated shampoos. I wonder if there is an interaction between some inactive shampoo-ingredient and the acidic rinses; or maybe both zinc pyrithione and ketoconazole conflict with acidic rinses? It has never happened with unmedicated shampoos though -- in 20 years. I'll post back if I discover more.... ...Needless to say, I've stopped using this KAMEDIS zinc shampoo now. Hopefully, the thinning stops by using my current treatment alone, with normal shampoo (sulfate-free, all natural, etc. blah, blah.) How I found my current treatment: I tried baking soda after reading about it on the Internet. It worked. I wondered if the high PH of baking soda was the reason it suppressed seborrheic dermatitis. I CONFIRMED THIS WITH MY DERMATOLOGIST LATER. I was right! Experts around the net say most yeasts (the source of SD) need a PH of roughly 4.5 - 6.5 to survive (personally, I still experience itching when I use products between 6.5 - 8.0 as well.) So I decided to try a low (acidic) PH instead in hopes that it would be more gentle on my hair and skin. I tried vinegar & water rinses but that didn't work very well because I couldn't use a strong mix (too stinky and harsh, so it needs to be rinsed out) It also weakened my hair after a year. I tried hypochlorous acid spray (HOCl) because it kills fungus, but sure enough, the PH is just too near 7.0 for it to stop the itching and scabbing (but I only tried it for 2 days.) Later, I may try it again, adding it to my current routine, to see if I can get longer-lasting results. My current routine (for over 2 years): For a low, acidic PH, I decided to try vitamin C powder by The Ordinary (pure ascorbic acid - any brand will due, but not Vitamin C pills because they don't dissolve well) mixed with water on my scalp. For my face, I mixed the powder in jojoba oil (for moisture.) Wow! That did the trick. However, I must use it every day or two, or the SD comes right back. It is not too harsh, doesn't smell funky, and I get the additional skin benefits of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is unstable so it loses effectiveness in a week or two if premixed in liquid, and from light exposure. So I mix up a batch of powder & filtered water, in a black, opaque spray bottle, once a week, and spray it on my scalp, daily, after normal showers. (I soak my roots by holding the spray nozzle against my scalp, in various places. It's probably too acidic for the rest of my long hair. I don't rinse it out.) (It's also probably not color-safe.) (FYI: It will strip and damage silver, stone, or cheap costume jewelry. None of my surgical steel or gold jewelry has been tarnished though.) For my face, I mix the powder with jojoba oil in my hand every day so it stays stable and bacteria-free. Jojoba oil soaks in after 30-60 minutes, but when I'm in a hurry I blot the excess off with a tissue or blotting paper before putting on makeup. I wash my hands well because Vitamin C can turn them orange. (FYI, I've tried cheating by skipping a shower and, instead, spraying my face and scalp to get me by. Nope! I must wash my skin first, but it does calm the itching for a while, and helps as a refresher after work outs and such.) IMPORTANT: The mixture must be at a PH level between 3 - 4.4, ideally 3.5 - 4. Get yourself a highly rated roll of PH test strips, on Amazon, and test your mixtures until you've got the perfect recipe. Retest it to verify your results. Write it down and use that mix every day. It will sting for a minute on sore spots, but shouldn't burn terribly or cause ongoing irritation. You may have to work your way down to a lower PH if you get too much redness or burning. It is too strong to be used with exfoliants, harsh skin treatments, or after hard scrubbing or shaving! Work your way into it, or alternate your other treatments with this at a different time of day, or even every other day. ALSO, see The Ordinary website for ingredients that conflict with ascorbic acid/Vitamin C. Last, if it's not working, other products, used in combination, could be altering the PH level on your skin. As a side note, mixing baking soda with shampoo 3x/week could be a convenient, easy solution for those with very short hair because they don't have to worry about the condition of their hair as it grows out. For the face and ears, though, I think baking soda is usually too drying. For me, targeting the PH level of my skin and making it hostile to the yeast that causes SD has gotten me back to nearly normal skin, free of scabs and itching. This method is easier, and has worked much better than the various anti-fungal creams or shampoos prescribed to me by Dermatologists over the last 20 years. I tried this shampoo in hopes of needing to wash my hair less often. Unfortunately, it caused hair thinning for me. Hope this helps somebody.

So far, after only having used it once, I can say that it has a pleasant and mild fragrance. It also seems to have helped control some scalp itch.

I have truly suffered for years from a itchy, scaly dry scalp. I have spent a lot of money on prescription medications, dermatologists, every shampoo, conditioner, essential oil, coconut oil, etc known to man. For the first time in years my head is not a salt shaker! It took about 2 weeks for me to notice a difference. I had also purchased the scalp lotion , but I do not like it. Very hard to work into the scalp with thick hair. The shampoo however is very good. Not much odor, it’s pleasant. Takes just a small amount to work into the hair and scalp. Allow to remain for 3-5 minutes. I use this a minimum of 3 times a week, as I have fairly short hair, I work out daily and sweat a lot. It does not dry the hair, however I do use a leave in conditioner at times. This product has saved me! Kamedis does not disappoint.

My scalp is extremely sensitive. I also have dandruff. I try everything. Best I could do was zinc shampoo bars but they dry my hair. So I couldn't grow it out. Had to leave my hair buzzed sorry short for a long time. I also sweat a lot and bacteria gets trapped. I've been washing my hair with this for about a month about 3 days a week and my hair looks and feels amazing. I'm also using a bacteria zit bar soap on it in the days between. Also, a tiny bit goes a long way with this stuff. So a bottle is going to last a long time so it's worth the value for certain Edit: after months of using this stuff it has actually made my scalp so much worse. I can't even grow my hair out inch anymore because my scalp is way too dry and irritated. I tried combining it with their scalp lotion and my scalp is awful now. Background of my scalp issues, I have developed extremely dry scalp over the years. I think from decades of dying it. I have been to a dermatologist and they did a biopsy and it's not eczema or psoriasis. They tell me it's just normal dandruff. My scalp burns bad. Gets dry and flaky. I can't use fragrances and such and pretty much have had to keep my head shaved since 2020 it gets so bad. I'm autistic with very sensitive skin, so the burning and itching can become so overwhelming that I can't focus on anything until I find relief. I've tried everything that's supposed to help. The only thing that works is keeping my head shaved so I can keep oil on my scalp daily. For some reason my hair blocks my skin absorbing the oil (same with my body hair), so I can't even have hair on my body because of this issue. Pretty much I have to keep my hair constantly oiled 24/7 for the issues to not develop. So what's the point of having hair if I can't style it because it has to drip in oil all day? While I want to be one of those rockin femme types that can look great with a shaved head, I'm too fat for it, I believe. I want my hair back! Even just a short pixie cut would be nice to have again! But I'm at the point I have to shave it monthly now. So anyway... With using just a plain zinc shampoo bar I was able to let my hair grow out about 2 to 3 inches before it would get so dry I'd have to shave it off and start over. Since I've switched to this brand's shampoo I can't even let it grow out 1/4 an inch anymore. I thought maybe I needed to buy their lotion to help because Kamedis claims it's best to buy all their products together! Which of course is a great marketing ploy for items that don't actually work... Second day using the lotion and it burned so badly. I use a scalp scrubber to help release the dead skin and I spent about 30 minutes getting all the build up from my scalp this stuff caused. It hurt and burned so badly. The only relief I got was dumping coconut oil, olive oil, and rosemary oil on my scalp and letting it soak in. Please buy with caution if you have an overly sensitive scalp and don't blame not having all the expensive products in this line and waste your money on them all hoping it'll get better. I can't trust good reviews on Amazon anymore. I read over them and really thought this stuff would do great. I also convinced myself that I just needed to buy the whole lineup to make it work. After buying the lotion I know that's not true and have spent 6 months using this shampoo when it actually didn't work except maybe the first month or so.
