I have a deviated septum that tends to dry out and can become raw so I've been using Waxelene for at least a year. My doctor was okay with it and had initially recommended Vaseline but I wanted to avoid any petroleum based products. I keep mine in the refrigerator because I use only a tiny bit every day and it does seem to age more poorly, it's a natural product and will also melt if it's too warm.
