Doesn't have trim for the front derailleur.
Works fine with an old 9 speed Ultegra drivetrain. There's no trim for the front derailleur though chain rub hasn't been an issue in my very limited riding. There's an access door to lube the shifter mechanism secured by 3 screws (orange circles), derailleur cable port (green circle), lever reach is adjustable, doesn't come with an installation manual.

Great upgrade for classic road bike
Upgraded my 1987 Schwinn from downtube shifters to these. They were easy to install and worked perfectly with the Shimano 600 SIS groupset already on the bike. I got the 2x7 version and the front derailleur has two trim positions as well which was a nice plus. The only downside is that it seems like there should be ferrules for the shift cables in the levers but mine did not come with any. It currently isn't effecting the shifting but it might in the future.

As good as any.
Product works well and has the refinement of the bigger names.Note. The Ignite will shift a 10 speed cassette with no problem.

Very good quality
Best sti shifters for the money hands down. One click in to shift up two to shift down. Comes with shift cables pre installed. Works perfectly with my shimano deraiulleur. I woyld say these are comparable to 105 possibly better. Shape of the hoods is nice and fits great even with my large hands.

Nice Alternative Shifters
I bought these to replace my older Dura-Ace 9 speed shifters. This is the second time my front (left) shifter has conked-out and did not want to spend hundreds to replace it so I took a chance on these. I think the most important thing to know is that they do not shift the same way... they only have one lever (not the smaller lever you tap to change to a smaller ring). You have to get used to clicking twice to go to a larger ring and once for a smaller ring. But once you get used to that, they are really nice. I only have a few hundred miles with them, but actually like them better so far. The shift cables come out differently so you can tuck those along with the brake cables under your bar tape for a very clean look, and they were less than a quarter of the price of Ultegra!

Revived my 9-speed drivetrain
Installed on a 9-speed Dura-Ace bike where the right shifter broke. Decided to try these instead of going the used/eBay route. Very pleasantly surprised! Shifting is quick and accurate. The one-lever design is great and easier with gloved hands. I've ridden a couple hundred hilly miles since installing and all is fine. One quick adjustment needed via barrel adjuster in back but likely due to cable stretch, not the shifter. Front also shifts well and has one mid-point position. I like the hood design better than the old Dura-Ace. Brake action is smooth and drama-free with good feel.Installation instructions are almost comical (including smiley faces indicating how to do things properly) - think Ikea, not Shimano. Read other reviews and most questions will be addressed. If you are new to the installation of brake/shift levers, watch some videos first.

You get what you pay for!
Looks good coming out of the box but that didn’t last! As soon as I tried shifting the front derailleur it broke. Boxed it up and send it back. Order a Shimano!

Cheap cost and cheap function
Clamps are too small, and there’s no trim setting.
