The Arrangement Vol. 5 (The Arrangement:Ferro Family)

This is one of my favorite serials ever. It’s sexy, sassy, funny and dark.This serial belongs to the dark and brooding Sean Ferro. He’s the first Ferro I was introduced to, and he holds a piece of my heart. As the series start out, Sean is very mysterious, and to be honest – 15 volumes in (when I’m writing this review), he still is a bit of an enigma. There is still a lot to be learned. He’s a dark SOB, this one. He’s got his fetishes, but holy wow is he delicious. And scary. Seriously, I love him – but if I had known him IRL I would have been scared s***less, and kept my distance.Then we have Avery. This girl’s got some spunk. I mean she has to, given that Sean is her love interest. She’s a struggling student when we first meet her, and when her best friend, Mel, realizes this, she reveals what her REAL job is. She’s a high dollar call girl. Ms. Black latches on to Avery immediately, and if Avery just takes one client, it could solve all her problems. She only has to say yes. Problem is she only wants one guy, Sean. Enter: a s***load of trouble.“I’m rewarded, uh, I mean punished, with a slap to my backside.” - AveryThis is an erotic romance, and you can expect some mighty steamy scenes. Some of the volumes more so than others, because there is a hell of a lot going on in this series. The Arrangement, and Sean basically, was the catalyst for all the other books from this same world. Sean has made an appearance is in every spin-off so far. So this is obviously a great place to start if you are curious about H.M. Ward’s books. Just remember to start at the beginning. You would not understand half of what’s going on if you jumped into it halfway through.It’s important to note that this is a fan driven series. Essentially that means that as long as the fans want more, there will be more. And I honestly can’t picture the day we won’t want more. So if that is not for you, I recommend you go pick up something else, because this story has been going on for a good while now, and I certainly hope it will go on for a long time to come – as long as Holly wants it to.Another important note is that these are split up in volumes, and each one end on a cliffhanger (Holly is the queen of cliffhangers). It’s nerve-wracking every time. And it is one of the tings that keep it just as exciting as it was in the beginning. As well as the fact that they’re always fast paced, and it never gets boring. Each volume starts off exactly where the last one left off. I always like to re-read the latest volume before the next one releases because you really get thrown right back into the action without any recaps. It really is kind of built like a TV-show, which is so awesome, because something like that is currently in the works! *fangirls* Just Imagine seeing THE Sean Ferro on screen…

Before Reading:I was so ecstatic that book five of this amazing series had come out. I love H.M. Ward's writing style and in-depth relatable stories and characters. I knew this story would be another of heart wrenching stories and I could not wait to get started.Plot:After Sean threw himself in front of the truck on his motorcycle to save Avery, she winds up in the hospital herself. Needing to get out as soon as possible because there's no way she can afford the bill they're going to slap her with Marty helps her leave.When Avery finds out Sean left without getting worked on or stopping by to see if she's alright she has Marty drop her off to see him.When Sean answers the door she doesn't know what to say what to do. After spending the night and day together having a good time as friends, Avery finally feels like life is back to normal. She's going back to work, and even though she has no car she has great friends and is doing well in school.Too bad when she gets home Mel sticks her with the harsh reality that if Miss Black finds out Avery and Sean are hanging out she'll be fired and won't be able to eat or pay for her hospital bills.When Avery heads out to do her job and heads back to Sean's for a friend night Avery gets the biggest and worst shock she's had yet, one that could destroy everything.Overall:Ugh!!! H.M. Ward is really killing me with these endings. I'm pretty sure my heart stopped and broke at the same moments Avery's did. The Arrangement #5 definitely took my emotions for a roller coaster that I was not prepared for. I have always loved this series from the first book and I shouldn't have expected anything less from H.M. Ward. Cannot wait for The Arrangement #6 to come out April 30th! Oh and even though I didn't mention it in the plot overview there is still hot scenes in this book that will leave readings wanting more!Cover:One word: Delicious!

The Arrangement 5 picks up after the accident in volume 4. I waited so long to see what happened after the crash!! I honestly thought that this would be the turning point for Sean. That he would finally see how much he cared for Avery. He seems to just be back to his old ways. Avery now is saddles with crazy hospital bill due to her little accident. So what would you do if you had no money and now have to worry about the hospital bills because your not insured??? Continue working for Black of course! I feel so bad for Avery. I feel like she honestly has no other options and that is really to bad. I think she is an amazing and independent woman who is in a bad situation. Her "friendship" with Sean is tricky because of the immense sexual tension between the two. They have some hot hot moments! I found myself blushing during this one! I hope that Sean pulls his head out of his butt soon or Avery will not wait around for him.I really enjoy Marty. I have said that before. He has to be one of the funniest characters I have read about. He brings a dash of comedy to bad situations. Great comic relief! I liked Mel for most of this book too. She seems like she has been there for Avery through a lot!I don't even know what to say about Sean...He tells Avery that he is going to continue seeing hookers while she is working for Black. I mean it makes sense. Avery will be sleeping with other people for her job. He has such a commitment issue and will not do the sexual things he likes to Avery. I am curious how messed up his sexual preferences are. I hope we get to find out! I just want to slap him upside the head and shake him. He needs to wake up!!The ending of this book left me in shock. My mouth was hanging open and everything. You will never see it coming!!

I absolutely love this series I can't put it down the moment I start to read it and the moment the next one comes out I have to have it! Something completely different from any other love story. Sad, funny, intense, crazy, and of course amazing! A must read!

I have read from 1-12 cannot wait for 13, by far the best series if its possible to say there is a best series... This woman is amazing great books, and quickly... Keep them coming cannot wait..... she leaves you wanting more every time...

I enjoy the books, but would enjoy them much more if they were a little longer and a little better priced for their length.
