How to Draw Comic Book Superheroes Using 5 Easy Shapes

This is a great book for little kids. Unfortunately, the basic pattern is the same and you just add different 'decals' for different superheroes. I was hoping for more variety, maybe some different stances or a super hero car? If they make one like that in the future I'll definitely buy it. This is the PERFECT intro for little artists. My 4, 6, and even 17 year old have enjoyed the tutorial.

Got this for a 6-year-old nephew who loves both drawing and superheroes. Just 5 basic shapes are needed to sketch the basic superhero body, which is the same for all of them. Additional steps show how to fill in the design and customize. No frustration!The book has designs for 20 superheroes, a nice variety. If your kid has a special favorite you will want to be sure you are getting the right book though---there are several different volumes.

My 5 year old boy loves super heroes & drawing.... and this book!!! He can do them all probably 95%. Majority of the time he's completely content doing what he's able, but sometimes he'll ask me to help with the small details in the face or somewhere. There was one super hero that I glued the pages together & permanent marker over his face on the back cover-- the ghost rider.... I felt like he looks way to scary for a 5 year old. My son didn't care that I did that & loves the book. We're very happy with it!!!

My whole family enjoys drawing picture from this book from myself who is 29+++, my 11 year old son, 5 year old daughter. We all have different skill levels and have been able to accomplish these drawings.

Super easy and cute

My 5 year old absolutely loves this book! He was a late bloomer when it comes to drawing and interest in art, but loves superheroes and this book made drawing figures manageable and fun for him! Now he makes all kinds of characters using the shape-based template that is the foundation for each of the characters in the book. Highly recommend!

My 9-year old son and his friends are all about drawing their own comics. My son is just starting to learn. We got him several comic drawing books that come highly recommended, but this one won the spotlight! I think many comic drawing books can be intimidating for a kid, but this one gives the basics, using shapes they know, to draw all their super heroes (or ones they can create on their own!). This book is a great place to start for your kids!

Brilliant for KS1 children working on 2d shape or superheroes! Really easy to draw if you have a selection of 2d shapes. The children in my class loved creating superheroes and felt proud of the results.

Bought as a present for 5 year old boy. The book is quite a thin paperback so bit pricey, but drawings are very simple, clear and easy to follow. A good range of superheroes to draw. Been used loads already - a firm favourite and recommended for any young children who love superheroes and drawing! Just ordered the super villains version too!
