Charles Tyrwhitt Checked Shirts for Men - Non Iron
I have worn plenty of Charles Tyrwhitt shirts over the years and this one is consistent with what I expect from the brand. I went with the 15.5 neck and 35 sleeve length which fits exactly as it should. While I usually opt for the super slim cut for a tighter look this slim fit version is a nice alternative when I want something slightly more relaxed for a long day at the office or underneath a 3/4 zip sweater. The cotton twill has a decent weight to it and feels like it will last. The non iron works as expected, after a cold wash I shake it off and I hang it straight onto a hanger, it always dries smooth. It stays looking sharp through eight hours of sitting at a desk without developing massively messy creases around the elbows or waist. The Prince of Wales pattern is subtle enough for formal meetings but does not look boring. This shirt earns 4 stars because the non iron performance is genuine and the sizing is reliable. Some advice would be to use multi buy discounts on the CT site directly, as £70 is a bit steep for one shirt when you can almost always snag discounts.

Well-made, fully cotton, and iron free.
What a simply splendid shirt. I particularly like, a good quality, fully cotton shirt, especially if it is also non-iron. The brand is well known, and associated with quality shirts. The shirt I received is no exception: An eight button, 100% cotton, non-iron (photos show some transit creasing), double button cuffs, two rear shoulder darts below the yoke, to accommodate some shoulder flexing, excellent body and sleeve length, quality materials used throughout, professionally constructed, with precise sewing and hems, no unnecessary breast pocket, a spare button located inside, between the lowest two buttons, and with two metal, removeable collar stiffeners. This being of a ‘Slim Fit’ shirt design, and my being six foot, and 16inch neck, I thought it appropriate to request a 16.5 Neck / 35 Sleeve. This resulted in the shirt fitting me very well, and by going up a size, allowed a more comfortable fit around the middle. I did find the top button a struggle to use, but put that down to the shirt being new. Note also, that the cuffs are button only, and do not support cufflinks. There is one conundrum, which is probably of little import, but thought it odd, given the reputation of this brand. They use the term “British Craftsmanship,” yet the shirt is made in Vietnam. Would I recommend this shirt? Absolutely. Is it value for money? Yes, probably, time will tell, but I am reasonably confident of the shirt’s longevity.

Perfect fit and freedom of movement.
You'll understand how high-quality it is as soon as you receive it. Its 100% cotton texture feels soft against the skin. After washing, simply hang it on a hanger to dry. Despite being "Slim Fit," it doesn't constrict the body. The brand's measurements are quite consistent. If you've worn Charles Tyrwhitt before, you can confidently choose the same size and sleeve length combination. The Slim Fit cut offers a modern and fitted look, without being as restrictive as extra slim cuts. The shirt is also a great gift option. Small but "luxurious" details, like the brass collar plackets, immediately convey the quality of the product. Everything is perfect. A true value-for-money product.

Brand quality as expected
The quality of the material used is on point. As it’s a well-known brand, you can’t expect anything less. Have been using this for almost a month now, it feels great. Comfortable to wear and had been through multiple wash and the colour is holding up pretty well and washability is excellent. It fits in perfectly well and is soft to touch. Overall, great one and good value.

Charles Tyrwhitt Shirt
Charles Tyrwhitt shirts that I've owned have always been the best quality I've ever worn, so it's good to see that the quality is still as high as ever. The shirt is made from a thick material, yet it is light and feels comfortable to wear. The collar size is perfect compared to others I have worn. Is tight around the neck without being uncomfortable and restrictive to wear. The shirt is quite long however. This is fine when you tuck it into trousers, but definitely not one you want to wear untucked without looking a bit silly. Having got the slim fit, I wasn't prepared for how slim it was going to be. Whilst it is fine around my shoulders, it narrows quite significantly and not so flattering on my stomach. This isn't necessarily an issue with the shirt itself, but should serve as a warning to try a couple of different sizes before committing. The shoulder and chest width is fine, as are the arms, although I found it slightly tight around my upper arm. I did notice that the top button was a bit difficult to unbutton when opening the packaging, and also when I tried to take it off. This is the only defect I've found with the quality, and I can easily see it coming off and needing restitching in the future. Undoubtedly a great quality shirt, but no way is it worth the £70 that it currently sells for at the time of writing. I guess it's priced at this for future sales, but you might want to take a look at the company website for pricing comparison too.

Subtle but sophisticated
Things I liked: + The cotton fabric is gorgeous. It feels soft to the touch, but still looks beautifully stylish. + The slim fit styling looks great while still while not being overly restrictive or constricting. + The design is smart and modern, meaning it's absolutely suitable for formal situations, but could be worn casually as well. + Sizing seems very accurate. I'm usually a 16.5 neck and this shirt fits me absolutely perfectly. + The manufacturing quality is excellent. Things I didn't like: - No issues. Do I recommend it? Yes. The design is really subtle but sophisticated, and although £70 is a significant outlay, this shirt is well-made and is worth it.

Beautiful Fabric
Review Of: Charles Tyrwhitt Non-Iron Slim Fit Checked Shirt - Ocean Blue Prince Of Wales Despite this being a “non-iron” shirt, it definitely needs ironing when you remove it from the packaging and after washing. If you have a tumble dryer, you might be lucky enough to get away without ironing it though. Made from 100% cotton, the material is soft, fairly heavyweight and feels good quality. It’s described as slim fit, but that doesn’t mean it hugs the body. It’s very comfortable to wear. The shirt makes for perfect office attire and fits well under a waistcoat. Machine washable at 40°. Be sure to remove the brass collar stiffeners it comes with before putting the shirt in the machine. Would recommend.

Very good quality shirt, be careful on pricing
This is an absolutely lovely looking shirt, and is the only brand my other half will wear to work. The quality is immediately apparent in every detail, from the buttons, the stitching, the collar stiffeners to the stitches. Although this is a slim fit, it's not overly tailored, so you will still be able to wear it comfortably if you have a little bit of excess "padding" around the middle! The fabric is reasonably thick, and should wear well. It's soft to the touch. I wouldn't say it's completely non-iron, but I've never yet had a shirt that hasn't needed at least a cursory swipe with an iron to get it crisp enough for the office. In terms of value, I think that whilst this is a high quality shirt, £70 is a bit much. You can get 4 of these for £149 if you go direct.
