The case protects the glass on the LG V 40 and makes the phone less slippery and somewhat more safe for when I, sad to say, drop the phone. The case cleans up beautifully with a microfiber cloth and looks good if you like the black phone case look which I love. If you like more colorful cases these are available. I bought a $14 case from Amazon that had more protection due to ribs and hard extending corners but I chose not to use it because it is too big even for my 6.4 " screen phone with 5 cameras.This case is priced right, easily available from Amazon, light weight, apparently durable, and easy to replace for little money if something should go wrong. I had a case from the Apple Store once for my iPhone 6 Plus. After about a year the case just started to gradually fall to pieces and I replaced it with a Body Glove and even the Body Glove is starting to come apart at the seams but this is still good value and protection for a $10 case for a $1,000 phone. You decide.

The only reason I'm knocking off one star is b/c the lip all around the edges would be better if it was just a little bit higher. I somehow have managed to not drop this phone hard on its face yet, but with the glass screen protector I installed on it, the lip of the case appears to be just a tad low. We'll see. The case has held up fine for other minor drops so far!.... Other than that I wish the lip was a little higher, the case is sturdy and the quality very much reminds me of all the Otterbox Symmetry cases I've owned for past phones. I didn't expect that at this low price point. The mint green color I bought of this case is gorgeous, too.

If I had purchased this previously, I'm sure I would not be dealing with cracked screen issues that I am having trying to go cheap. You get what you pay for. I expect this to last a long time. Still loving my LG ThinQ V40 and will be replacing the screen. Solid protector for my phone.

I bought an LG V40 ThinQ phone case for my father because he had to get a new phone and he hadn't bought a phone case yet for the new phone also.

Obviously i can't test its phone protection capability without throwing my new phone around, but the case feels and looks to be good quality and a solid construction, and fits the phone well.

Case seems sturdy and fits phone snugly. Will most likely provide protection for bumps and accidental drops. Happy with it, a great bargain.
