Charge port no more burnt pins!
I watched a YT video on how to replace the Magsafe charge port but the real help was the iFixit step by step guide. I had purchased a macbook screwdriver kit set from them a while back and its definitely needed. The process is a bit scary particularly the way some of the connections disconnect but slow and carefully its simple to do as long as you are cautious and observant. This product was heavy just like my OEM and from all I could tell is a genuine apple replacement part. My macbook is now charging perfectly and all the pins are intact unlike my old one which had burnt pin and messed up two chargers and would get super hot in the magsafe area. This part has now extended the life of my machine which is working perfectly and IMO far superior in design, features, and performance than any of the new macbook products. On a side not lifting the board and the fan allows you a good opportunity to air out the little radiator which mine had a large collection of dust bunnies. Anyways this product is fantastic. Buy with confidence.

I ended up needing a professional to instal it.
Be advised if you need this replacement part: the installation is very involved. I needed it for an old, Mid-2009 MacBook Pro as one of the prongs was bent on the charging port. To get to this part inside the MacBook, the entire Logic Board will need to be removed, which involves disconnecting everything internally as you will basically be removing the computer’s engine. I did my best to install it myself, but I must’ve made a mistake of some kind as the laptop still wouldn’t work. The device would not charge. Apple obviously could not service the laptop due to its age, but I was able to find a reputable repair store to get it installed for me. I paid about $300 for the labor, so hopefully that was a fair price. It’s less than a brand-new MacBook at least. The part is at least very low-priced.

Looks well made
It took a lot of time and effort to replace this however it didn't solve my problem (of having a very feint green light on MagSafe connector when plugged in but does not charge). So it works just like the original...

Perfect fix
Perfect replacement for dead DC board; previously replacing several in other MBs made it simple. Price was right and shipping was prompt.
