Love this series!
I am an elementary school teacher and a mom of two. This is the only Hindu picture book series I have found that is well-written, accurate, respectful, and beautifully illustrated. It is appealing to both toddlers and upper elementary kids. As a Hindu parent, I am happy to teach my daughters about their culture using these books. As a teacher, I know I can trust this author in my classroom to teach Hinduism in a respectful, knowledgeable way. Just a word of warning: I have seen another series out there with incredibly cute graphic illustrations (you may know which one I'm talking about, it's quite popular on Amazon), and even though I LOVE the illustrations, I am so disappointed with the content--both inaccurate & disrespectful, probably because the author/illustrator is not a practicing Hindu, which I found out later. This Amma Tell Me About series is so much better for teaching kids. If you are deciding between the two, go with this one!

This series has very negative language. The author could've chosen different and age appropriate words to communicate the story and the message.

A must buy for your child!
The book was, for me and my kids, a true delight to read! Bhakti has done a super job of engaging kids, young & old, in Hindu Mythology with her simple and beautifully written books. The illustrations are eye catching and there is real learning for the reader. Lord Krishna is among the most revered Gods in India and this is an effective tale for all those looking to be entertained and educated. For me this is a must buy - my 5th in the Bhakti Mathur collection with space for more! Go buy your copy NOW, you won't regret it...

A must read!
Hindu mythology has always been a rich source of philosophy and morality. The author has done a wonderful job to help introduce these teachings to our children at an early age with all her books. " Amma Tell Me How Krishna Fought The Demons " is a book with a message. "Good always prevails over evil".A book full of splendour, colourful illustrations and Bhakti's signature writing style will continue to mesmerise our children as all her previous books have done. Awaiting part 3 of this trilogy!

A book that will become part of childhood memory
Once again, a beautiful product of co-operation between a story teller with a mesmerising style and a gifted illustrator! Bhakti and Maulshree's collaboration in producing a hugely appealing and morally educative series on Hindu mythology will no doubt create an unforgettable childhood experience for many. I hope the pair will continue to work together and expand their horizon to produce books that will have an universal appeal for kids from all over the world.

Hindu Mythology for All Ages
This series is a great introduction to hindu folklore and mythology for all ages. The book is beautifully illustrated and the story is engaging and captivating. My 5 year old daughter spends hours poring over Ms. Mathur's books during the day and loves listening to her stories before she falls asleep at night. I cannot recommend these books enough. They also make great gifts.
